Liping Liu, a professor at the University of Akron, recently had his sexist plan blocked by university officials. Liu promised to raise female grades to offset the gender imbalances.
This unfair plan was part of what he called a “national movement to encourage female students to go into information sciences.” After attempting to implement his plan, Liu was abruptly stopped by university officials. As Nursing Student Michalla Gordon puts it, “Everything should be based on hard work, and I don’t think that women need a crutch to get into science.”
