In his article “Victims of Hurricane Michael voted for climate deniers,” University of St. Thomas Professor John Abraham openly admitted that he believes the Florida victims of Hurricane Michael deserved to be hit. “Elections have consequences,” asserted the professor.
Abraham believes the reason the residents were hit by a hurricane was because they elected “climate deniers,” pointing to GOP Florida politicians Senator Marco Rubio and Governor Rick Scott. “Denying science has its consequences. And we are reaping what we sow.”
He went on to write, “elections have consequences and if we, as a society, want to create a better world and reduce climate change, we have to vote for people who understand science, who believe in facts.”
Documented by experts to be one of the strongest hurricanes to hit the United States, Abraham blames the intensity of the hurricane on man-made global warming. Abraham still has no evidence to back up his claims.
