Sociology professor Mark J. Bird shot himself to protest Donald Trump. He was recently charged with possessing a dangerous weapon on school property, carrying a weapon without a permit, and discharging a gun on the College of Southern Nevada campus.
A faculty member since 1993, Bird shot himself in the arm and “was staggering around the campus bleeding” to “protest Trump,” as reported by the Las Vegas Review Journal.
The scene, carried out via a .22 caliber pistol unnerved the liberal arts students and staff. “When they don’t give the full details, then rumors go crazy,” asserted University of Southern Nevada Faculty President Robert Manis. “It’s unfortunate because it made the students and faculty very afraid and allowed rumors to proliferate.”
