Sean Iwamoto is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. According to his university <a href="https://medschool.cuanschutz.edu/center-for-womens-health-research/about-us/-researchers/sean-iwamoto" target="_blank" rel="noopener">profile</a>, he is a Co-Founder of the <a href="https://www.uchealth.org/services/diabetes-endocrinology-care/uchealth-integrated-transgender-program/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UCHealth Integrated Transgender Program</a>. A few of his interests include transgender health, obesity, and more. 
Iwamoto also studies “the effects of gender-affirming hormones on vascular health and metabolic parameters in older versus younger adult transgender women (on estrogen) and transgender men (on testosterone) compared to age group-matched non-transgender women and men.”
According to <a href="https://www.thecollegefix.com/professor-seeks-males-for-testicle-removal-study/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The College Fix</a>, Iwamoto is currently recruiting “30 gender dysphoric males to participate in a National Institutes of Health <a href="https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05195164" target="_blank" rel="noopener">study</a> on the benefits and consequences of testicle removal, also called an orchiectomy.”
However, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/nih-recruiting-18-year-olds-study-unknown-side-effects-castration-surgery-gender-dysphoria" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a> reports that it was uncertain if Iwamoto projected the long-term effects from the research prior to presenting his evidence. He shared that &#8220;It is important to develop studies that represent the transgender and gender diverse populations we see in Colorado. Our results will help inform future research, contribute to improvements in gender-affirming care, and improve confidence that shared decision making between patients and providers is more evidence-based.&#8221;
In one of Iwamoto’s <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10126651/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">articles</a>, he stated, “Gender-affirming surgeries in older TGD [‘transgender and gender diverse’] patients have become increasingly common and will only become more so in the future.” He concluded by stating that more data on older TGD adults is needed and guidelines would be helpful for gender-affirming surgeries.

<a href="https://jewishstudies.berkeley.edu/people/ron-hendel/">Dr. Ronald Hendel</a> is a Professor of the Hebrew Bible and Jewish Studies at the University of California-Berkeley. At the beginning of Hendel’s class, titled “Jewish Civilization I: The Biblical Period,” he told students not to take his class if they think the Bible is infallible. After one student started questioning and challenging him, Hendel told the student “If you disagree with the approach we use, that’s an F.”

<a href="https://ethnicstudies.berkeley.edu/people/hatem-bazian/">Hatem Bazian</a> is a professor of Asian American and Asian Diaspora Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He is the <a href="https://zaytuna.edu/academics/faculty/hatem-bazian">co-founder and assistant professor </a>at Zaytuna College, which is the only accredited American college in which the curriculum is based on Islamic fundamentals. Bazian’s resume is littered with antisemitic and pro-terror incidents, both on and off-campus.

When attending San Francisco State University, Bazian accused the student newspaper of being <a href="https://www.meforum.org/campus-watch/19590/profiles-in-hate-hatem-bazian">infiltrated by “Jewish spies</a>,” and allegedly denied Jewish students jobs while serving as Student Body President, claiming their support of Israel exhibited their racism.

Bazian’s activism grew more militant with time. At an Islamic conference in 1999, he was quoted by the Detroit Free Press reciting an Islamic Hadith <a href="https://www.meforum.org/campus-watch/8865/hatem-bazian-personal-story">calling for the slaughter of Jews</a>.

After 79 members of Students for Justice in Palestine were arrested for disrupting a Holocaust memorial, Bazian asserted that the university's actions were racially motivated. During the subsequently organized protests, Bazain <a href="https://www.jweekly.com/2018/10/22/berkeley-city-councils-shameful-tolerance-of-anti-semitism/">insinuated that powerful Jews controlled the University and orchestrated the arrests</a>.

Bazian’s thinly veiled antisemitism is seamlessly <a href="https://canarymission.org/professor/Hatem_Bazian">interlaced with his anti-Israel demagoguery</a>. A proponent of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement,  Bazian has called for the dismantlement of the state of Israel and has praised the terrorist group Hamas. Bazian <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mfv5yaKxNgo&amp;ab_channel=HamasOnCampus">openly called for a domestic insurrection</a> within America. Calling the crowd to arms at a 2003 anti-war rally, Bazian called for an “Intifada” to start in America.

The Intifada was then in the midst of its third year of blood-soaked carnage in Israel. Before it abated in 2006, <a href="https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/comprehensive-listing-of-terrorism-victims-in-israel">over one thousand men, women, and children would perish</a> from sniper fire and suicide attacks on buses, markets, and restaurants. The most gruesome attacks included the <a href="https://www.algemeiner.com/2020/10/26/what-the-ramallah-lynchings-taught-us-about-palestinian-incitement/">public lynching and disembowelment of two Israeli soldiers</a>, and the <a href="https://www.jpost.com/arab-israeli-conflict/18-years-after-sbarro-suicide-attack-pa-has-paid-910823-to-the-culprits-598106">bombing of a Sbarro pizzeria</a>, killing 15 civilians, including 7 children and a pregnant woman.

Extending to the classroom and beyond, Bazian has co-founded two anti-Israel groups: <a href="https://canarymission.org/organization/SJP">Students for Justice in Palestine</a> (SJP), and American Muslims for Palestine (AMP).

Bazian co-founded SJP with fellow professor <a href="https://professorwatchlist.org/professor/snehalshingavi">Snehal Shingavi</a> in 2001 in solidarity with Palestinian groups, as the Intifada raged in Israel. The group is known for its belligerent tactics and hostility towards Jewish and pro-Israel students on campus. SJP openly calls for the destruction of Israel and has never been shy about their support for Hamas. <a href="https://canarymission.org/individual/Azka_Fayyaz">A student senator and member of SJP</a> at UC Davis <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/new-film-depicts-jewish-students-growing-insecurity-on-campus/">welcomed “Hamas and sharia law"</a> to campus.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SF2qAJl65k&amp;ab_channel=CanaryMission">American Muslims for Palestine</a>, of which Bazian serves as Chairman, is rooted in the now-defunct Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP). Facing scrutiny by the federal government over its ties to overseas jihadist groups, IAP ceased operations in 2003 to avoid prosecution. Many of the staff then <a href="https://docs.house.gov/meetings/FA/FA18/20160419/104817/HHRG-114-FA18-Wstate-SchanzerJ-20160419.pdf">reconstituted under the new banner of AMP with Bazian as Chairman</a>. Screenshots from IAP’s former website show that the group openly encouraged Islamic terrorism and what can only be described as ethnic cleansing of Jews.

Bazian is a tenured professor at one of the world’s most prestigious colleges. Tens of thousands of students have passed through his classroom while accruing many thousands more in debt, over his many decades in academia. His radicalism isn’t hidden—Bazian has openly embraced and preached the most radical, violent, and bigoted positions imaginable and sought to inspire future leaders with those same values.

<a href="https://www.law.berkeley.edu/our-faculty/faculty-profiles/john-powell/">John A. Powell</a> is a Professor of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. During a<a href="http://www.whiteprivilegeconference.com/"> White Privilege Conference</a>, Powell was caught on film saying that the Bush Administration deliberately took money away from strengthening the levees during Hurricane Katrina because the levees were protecting black people.

<a href="https://vcresearch.berkeley.edu/faculty/nancy-scheper-hughes">Nancy Scheper-Hughes</a> is the Chancellor’s Professor Emerita in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Berkely. Her university biography <a href="https://vcresearch.berkeley.edu/faculty/nancy-scheper-hughes">states</a> that Scheper-Hughes approaches her work through a “politically engaged perspective” to examine “structural and political violence.”

Anti-Second Amendment 
Immediately following the Pulse nightclub shooting, in which a Muslim man who pledged allegiance to ISIS <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/multiple-injuries-shooting-orlando-nightclub-police/story?id=39789552">entered Pulse, a gay nightclub, and opened fire, killing 50 individuals</a>, Scheper-Hughes <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20160621134259/http://blogs.berkeley.edu/2016/06/19/radical-evil-a-reflection-on-the-orlando-massacre/">published</a> an article on the Berkeley Blog, a university website, to reflect on the events of the previous evening, titled, Radical evil: A reflection on the Orlando massacre.

In her article, Hughes <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20160621134259/http://blogs.berkeley.edu/2016/06/19/radical-evil-a-reflection-on-the-orlando-massacre/">describes</a> the Pulse nightclub as a “sacred space” that was attacked by a man she describes as “radically evil.” However, she then blames the killings on hate speech of the “trumpers'' and the <a href="https://home.nra.org/">National Rifle Association</a>.

Referring to the Second Amendment in the post, Scheper-Hughes <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20160621134259/http://blogs.berkeley.edu/2016/06/19/radical-evil-a-reflection-on-the-orlando-massacre/">states</a> that we have “failed as a democracy” to let “one amendment trump” all other amendments, leading to killings like the one in Orlando. She alleges that massacres throughout American history are typically committed by “orthodox conservatives” that suffer from a "perversity of heart."

Censorship
In mid-2017, the Berkely College Republicans <a href="https://twitter.com/BerkeleyCRs/status/884816647546064896">announced</a> on the group's Twitter account that they would host popular commentator Ben Shapiro. In an article for the website, CounterPunch, Scheper-Hughes <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/09/13/the-great-wall-of-uc-berkeley-vs-baby-face-shapiro/">decries</a> the decision to host Shapiro at the university, describing him as a “smart aleck, wisecracking, racist, sexist, misogynist, Islamophobic jerk.” She goes on to describe Shapiro as a “very dangerous, extremely controversial, physical threat” to Berkeley’s student body.

Scheper-Hughes further <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/09/13/the-great-wall-of-uc-berkeley-vs-baby-face-shapiro/">describes</a> Ben Shapiro in her article as a member of the “alt-light” that engages in hate speech. Hughes states that the First Amendment is a “work in progress” and that the amendment is “ignorant” and inadequately able to combat “hate speech.”

While acknowledging that the university is “stuck” with the protections that the First Amendment affords Ben Shapiro, Scheper-Hughes implies that free speech can be regulated to ban hate speech.

The Professor Watchlist team reached out to Scheper-Hughes for comment but has not received a reply by the time of publication.

<a href="https://polisci.berkeley.edu/people/person/andrew-little">Dr. Andrew Little</a> is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of California in Berkeley. According to his university <a href="https://vcresearch.berkeley.edu/faculty/andrew-little">biography</a>, Dr. Little’s research focuses on authoritarian politics, communication and information manipulation, and conflict.

While working as a professor at Cornell University, Dr. Little vocally opposed the hiring of conservative professors by the university. In an interview with The Cornell Daily Sun in October 2015, he stated that <a href="https://cornellsun.com/2015/10/15/cornell-faculty-donations-flood-left%E2%80%88filings-show/">the quality of research and academic integrity would suffer if universities hired conservative professors</a>.

In the same article, titled “Cornell Faculty Donations Flood Left, Filings Show,” reporters for the Cornell Daily Sun <a href="https://cornellsun.com/2015/10/15/cornell-faculty-donations-flood-left%E2%80%88filings-show/">note</a> that over 96% of the political donations of Cornell staff went to Democrats and only 4% were donated to Republican candidates.

<a href="http://rhetoric.berkeley.edu/faculty-profile/james-i-porter-1">Dr. James Porter</a>, a Professor of Rhetoric at the University of California, Berkely and formerly of the University of California, Irvine, was one of 60 professors who supported the ban of the American flag from an "inclusive" area at UC Irvine. He signed a letter claiming that the American flag is a symbol of nationalism and racism.

<a href="https://ethnicstudies.berkeley.edu/people/ramon-grosfoguel-1/">Ramon Grosfoguel</a> is an associate professor of Chicano and Latino Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. According to his university biography, Grosfoguel also specializes in decoloniality and the study of Islamophobia.

Grosfoguel is notable for his vocal opposition to the state of Israel and support for BDS. In an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu1PCTNGgB8&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv">interview</a> with the Islamic Human Rights Commission during Al-Quds Day (an <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/on-quds-day-irans-leader-says-zionism-a-virus-that-must-be-eliminated/">Iranian holiday</a> dedicated to the destruction of Israel) not only did he claim that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians, but that Israel is a threat to peace across the world. Grosfoguel claimed that Israel is infiltrating nations and aligning itself with openly fascist organizations in order to strangle freedom of speech.

Grosfoguel also claims that Jews <a href="https://www.okcir.com/Articles%20VII%202/Grosfoguel-FM.pdf">cynically use the Holocaust</a> to elicit sympathy from the world in order to commit atrocities against Arabs;

“The simplistic identity politics of the Holocaust hegemonic narrative that essentialized Jewish identity as homogenous eternal victims and always intentionally innocent ended with Gaza.”   

“These simplistic and reductionist narratives about the Holocaust and Jewish identity were exploited by the Zionists for the last 60 years to legitimate their fundamentalist Jewish state built upon the practices and methods of settler colonialism against the Palestinians.”                  

“Hitlerism as a continuation of colonial racist ideology came back to hunt Palestinians this time at the hands of European Jews who ironically were escaping from the Nazi Holocaust.” 

“...the Holocaust was always manipulated, abused, and institutionalized by the Israeli settler colonialist state from its foundation in 1948 until today to justify its colonial domination, expansion, and terror.”

Grosfoguel specializes in anti-colonial rhetoric. Rather than a past vestige, Grosfoguel maintains that colonialism is an ongoing attempt by Western nations—particularly Israel and the United States, to maintain dominance throughout the world. Grosfoguel lectures that the capitalistic, Christian-centered West is able to bleed poorer nations dry to maintain their wealth. He claims that Christianity itself has given rise to genocides around the world, as <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z8ISZolAMw&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv=2m4s">“pre-modern” societies were far more peaceful</a> than modern, Western nations.

To Grosfoguel, the concept of human rights is a Western farce that is used to justify foreign invasions. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7jFaJf-aVE&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv=9m46s">He has claimed</a> that America is a “rogue state” that has murdered upwards of 70 million people.

“Here comes the quintessential rogue state in the world, USA, calling other nations rogue states….This is really amazing, because this country, the last 60 years, has killed more than 70 million people.”  

In the same lecture, he held nothing back when grotesquely claiming that former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7jFaJf-aVE&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv=7m0s">should have been put to death</a> alongside Sadam Hussein for his crimes as an imperialist:

“So Donald Rumsfield should have been sitting alongside Sadam Hussein and been judged, ok? And been hanged together with him.”  

Grosfoguel travels frequently to speak about his views on decolonization and is renowned among the Left for his views on the subject. In 2018, he was invited to deliver <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pwX2ZQl0C0&amp;t=3173s&amp;ab_channel=LuiginoBracciRoa-Situaci%C3%B3nenVenezuela">opening remarks</a> addressing this topic at a Caracas-based conference hosted by Nicholas Maduro. Grosfoguel was well received at the conference and can be seen warmly greeting the dictator below.

<a href="https://ethnicstudies.berkeley.edu/people/keith-feldman-1/">Keith Feldman</a> is a head graduate advisor and an associate professor of Comparative Ethnic Studies at the University of California-Berkeley.

Speaking before the Berkeley-based conference Critical Discourses on Islamophobia, Feldman reserved most of his speech to criticize Barack Obama for killing jihadists. Labeling the administration’s <a href="https://www.meforum.org/campus-watch/20132/uc-berkeley-and-the-islamophobia-lobby">use of drones to eliminate terrorists as Islamaphobic</a>—or what he termed as “racialization from above—he asked, “What happens when Islamophobia takes to the skies?”

Feldman compared the death of Osama bin Laden to a Jim Crow-era lynching. As he was describing his killing as the “residue of late nineteenth-century colonial settler violence,” Feldman <a href="https://www.meforum.org/campus-watch/20132/uc-berkeley-and-the-islamophobia-lobby">displayed a black lynching victim in the background to serve as an analogy to his death.</a>

In 2015 while discussing his book, <a href="https://www.upress.umn.edu/book-division/books/a-shadow-over-palestine">A Shadow Over Palestine</a>, he claimed that <a href="https://www.meforum.org/campus-watch/22864/berkeley-prof-race-in-america-is-like-occupation">American ghettos are akin to the Warsaw ghetto</a> during the Holocaust, which itself is akin to modern-day Palestinian refugee camps.

Feldman’s book praises the <a href="https://www.meforum.org/7244/a-radical-romance-with-the-palestinians">United World Conference Against Racism</a> held in Durban, South Africa. <a href="https://www.jpost.com/opinion/op-ed-contributors/durban-and-911-ten-years-later">The gathering is notorious for its antisemitism</a>, with vendors <a href="https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/durban-i-un-conference-against-racism-2001">selling the conspiratorial</a> ‘Protocols of the Elders of Zion’ and displaying banners that read ‘What if Hitler Had Won?’ Feldman praises this conference for uniting “hundreds” of NGOs to declare that “Zionism is racism.”

<a href="https://gse.berkeley.edu/zeus-leonardo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Zeus Leonardo</a> is a Professor in the<a href="https://gse.berkeley.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Graduate School of Education</a> at the University of <a href="https://www.berkeley.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">California-Berkeley</a>. According to his university profile, Dr. Leonardo’s courses include: “Race, Whiteness Studies, and Education” and “Proseminar: Social Critique of Education.” Much of Dr. Leonardo’s work utilizes critical race theory to analyze areas such as race, class, culture, and gender in education.

Dr. Leonardo is also listed as an Affiliated Faculty Member of the Critical Theory Designated Emphasis at UC Berkeley. As part of the Graduate School of Education, the program explores the “<a href="https://gse.berkeley.edu/academics/ma-and-phd-programs/critical-studies-race-class-and-gender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">root causes and effects of white supremacy and settler colonialism in education</a>,” according to the official website.

Upon completion, those enrolled will earn a certification of “Designated Emphasis and Specialization in Critical Theory.” The university flaunts critical theory’s association with the Frankfurt School of Economics on its website. The Frankfurt School of Economics was <a href="https://www.heritage.org/sites/default/files/2020-12/BG3567.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">composed of openly Marxist economists whose writings eventually formed the basis for critical race theory</a>.

<a href="http://criticaltheory.berkeley.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The page prominently hosts a picture of Angela Davis</a> alongside the post-modernist, <a href="https://fee.org/articles/herbert-marcuse-the-philosopher-behind-the-ideology-of-the-anti-fascists/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Herbert Marcuse</a>. Davis was a member of the Leninist-Black Panther Party as well as the <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/topten-history/hires_images/FBI-309-AngelaYvonneDavis.jpg/viewhttps://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/topten-history/hires_images/FBI-309-AngelaYvonneDavis.jpg/view" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives</a> list for her role in the shooting deaths of four during the Marin County Civic Center Attacks.

As <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2012/03/11/what-is-critical-race-theory/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ben Shapiro writes in Breitbart News</a>, critical race theory is an intellectual branch of Marxism that views America and all of its institutions as being infected with white supremacy—to the point of some, including <a href="https://www.professorwatchlist.org/professor/nikolehannahjones" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nikole Hannah-Jones</a>, even <a href="https://reason.com/2020/09/23/1619-project-nikole-hannah-jones-1776-founding-race-new-york-times/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claiming</a> America’s real founding was in 1619 when the first slave stepped foot in North America, and not 1776 when the American colonies declared independence from England.

Dr. Leonardo has additionally published a number of other articles on critical race theory, race, and education. These include titles such as, “<a href="https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/23793406.2016.1167111?journalCode=rree20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tropics of Whiteness</a>,” “<a href="https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/01596306.2013.822624" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Story of Schooling: Critical Theory and the Educational Racial Contract</a>,” and, “<a href="https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/13613320120117180" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Souls of White Folk</a>.” Another is titled, “<a href="https://www.taylorfrancis.com/books/mono/10.4324/9780203880371/race-whiteness-education-zeus-leonardo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Race, Whiteness, and Education</a>,” in which he affirms the “central role” racism plays in society.

Dr. Leonardo declares racism to be systematic rather than based on individuals and must be addressed as such. He outlines the paper’s intent to interrupt this “dangerous” assertion in order to confront “whiteness” and racism in education. Further, in the same paper, Dr. Leonardo advocates the blending of Marxism and whiteness studies to understand racism. He then addresses the “myth” that whites do not think of themselves exclusively along with racial terms and that capitalism has spread “whiteness” across the globe.

In a separate lecture, Dr. Leonardo lauds critical race theory in even more explicit terms. In a lecture titled, “Who is afraid of CRT?” hosted at George Washington University, the event was <a href="https://gwtoday.gwu.edu/who%E2%80%99s-afraid-critical-race-theory-and-what-exactly-it-anyway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">marketed as an examination of “critical race theory, marxism, and whiteness studies</a>”.

In the lecture, Dr. Leonardo states the intent of his work in whiteness studies is to solve the problem of “whiteness” itself.

“In whiteness studies, whiteness is  the problem to be posed, if not solved.”

<a href="https://www.law.berkeley.edu/our-faculty/faculty-profiles/khiara-bridges/#tab_profile" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Khiara Bridges</a> is a <a href="https://www.law.berkeley.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">University of California-Berkeley Law Professor</a>, critical race theorist, and an advocate for abortion. She has further claimed that men can give birth and has refused to say whether unborn babies are worthy of dignity.

Dr. Bridges condemned the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.—<a href="https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/19-1392" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dobbs V. Jackson Women’s Health Organization</a>—as an <a href="https://news.berkeley.edu/2022/06/24/khiara-m-bridges-court-abortion-ruling-is-an-assault-on-women-and-democracy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“assault” against both women and democracy.</a> Dr. Bridges further alleged that <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/video/californians-express-outrage-over-roe-163817289.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banning abortion is a form of racism</a>:

“When you have a law that makes abortion unavailable, you have a law that makes unavailable a service upon which Black people disproportionately rely, so there’s a specific racial impact.”

Since the 1973 ruling, <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/op-eds/since-roe-abortion-has-killed-more-black-babies-than-the-entire-black-population-of-the-u-s-in-1960" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an estimated 20 million black children have been murdered via abortion</a>.

Speaking before a <a href="https://www.c-span.org/video/?521318-1/senate-judiciary-committee-hearing-abortion-access-law" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Senate hearing</a> regarding abortion policy, Dr. Bridges refused to address John Cornyn’s (R-Texas) question regarding disproportionate rates of black abortion. She again refused to answer when asked if an unborn baby has any value.

During her testimony, Dr. Bridges referenced “persons with the capacity for pregnancy” when speaking about individuals who sought abortions. When questioned by Senator Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) if she was referring to pregnant women, Dr. Bridges replied that she was referring to all “cis-women, trans-men, and non-binary people.”

When further pressed if abortion is a women’s rights issue, Dr. Bridges accused Hawley of asking questions that exposed “trans people to violence.”

Dr. Bridges then asked Hawley if he believes that men can become pregnant. Astonished, Hawley replied, “No, I don’t think men can get pregnant,” she further accused him of denying that trans people exist.

<a href="https://english.berkeley.edu/profiles/386" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Grace Lavery</a> is an Associate Professor for the English program at the University of California, Berkeley. His academic specialties are 19th-century British literature, Critical Theory, Cultural Studies, and Gender and Sexuality Studies. He is a transgender professor who “transitioned” in 2018. He claims his “work in trans feminist studies is… focused on the belief that transition works; that it is truly possible to change sex.”

In February of 2022 <a href="https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/professor-suspended-twitter-hopes-queen-dies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lavery was suspended from Twitter</a> for tweeting “I hope the queen dies,” a few days after Queen Elizabeth II tested positive for Covid-19. He even tagged the British government in the tweet. Lavery <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10542993/Berkeley-professor-suspended-Twitter-tweeting-hopes-COVID-stricken-Queen-DIES.html?ito=social-twitter_dailymailUK" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told the Daily Mail</a>: ​​“I do not think they [Twitter] should ban people for hoping that public figures die, whether the person in question is Elizabeth Windsor, Donald Trump, or Jeremy Corbyn.” Since his suspension, Lavery has no longer been active on Twitter. 

<a href="https://www.campusreform.org/article?id=19010" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Campus Reform</a> reported that Lavery tweeted the following statement on January 29, 2022: “i [sic] think that everyone is secretly as much of a pervert as we are, and we’ll win because of it.” Since Lavery’s Twitter account has been suspended, none of his tweets can be accessed. 

On the following day Lavery tweeted “i [sic] think we should seize all private property, so there’ll be nowhere for you adults to try your naughty little spanks except in the gutter with the rest of us… 3. Senile elderly woman masturbating surreptitiously during mass,” among several other explicit tweets. 

Lavery wrote the book <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Please-Miss-Heartbreaking-Staggering-Penis/dp/1541620658" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Please Miss: A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Penis”</a>, which was released in February of 2022. The Amazon description for the book states:
“Grace Lavery is a reformed druggie, an unreformed omnisexual chaos Muppet, and 100 percent, all-natural, synthetic female hormone monster. As soon as she solves her “penis problem,” she begins receiving anonymous letters, seemingly sent by a cult of sinister clowns, and sets out on a magical mystery tour to find the source of these surreal missives…”

<a href="https://africam.berkeley.edu/people/spring-2022-lecturer/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Peace and Love El Henson</a> is a Lecturer and Black Studies Collaboratory Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. According to her university biography, El Henson “primarily focuses on black queer femmes, state violence, pornography, and ethnography.” 

El Henson’s research is twofold:
<ul>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"> “The first uses black femmes’ theatrical performances from online interracial pornography to read real-life state policing encounters and vice versa.” El Henson’s goal  is to “denude the unconscious racialized pornographic BDSM (Bondage and Discipline/Domination and Submission/Sadism and Masochism/Sadomasochism) structured into interracial relations across sites of chattel slavery, professional pornography, public schools, universities, neighborhoods, and beyond.”</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Her second area of research “offers ethnographic case studies on black femmes who use erotic performance as a mode of survival, artistry, and pleasure amid genocide of low-income black neighborhoods in Oakland, CA.”</li>
</ul>
Dr. El Henson wrote a report in 2017 when she was in Graduate School at the University of Texas, Austin which she titled, <a href="https://repositories.lib.utexas.edu/bitstream/handle/2152/63533/ELHENSON-MASTERSREPORT-2017.pdf?sequence=1&amp;isAllowed=y" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Scenes of Subjection’ &amp; Subjectivity: Punishment, Torture, Captivity, Annihilation and Genocide of (Queer) Black Girls and Women in the ‘Afterlife of Slavery.’”</a> In the abstract, El Henson wrote that she explores: “the punishment, torture, captivity, annihilation and ultimate genocide black girls and women are subjected to by white supremacist, antiblack, hetero-patriarchal, hetero-sexist, and heteronormative school staff, police and state forces in public schools and beyond.”

In the report, El Henson claims that there has been an “antiblack genocide in the United States” throughout the country’s history. 

El Henson uses the term “queer” to describe black girls, black women, and black people “as a modifier to signify black communities who embody a range of gender identities, performances and sexualities in and out of U.S. black and white socially accepted norms—as classification of norm fluctuates by social group. This means that these terms can embody a range of black people who are bisexual, asexual, lesbian, transgender, heterosexual and more.”

In the report’s introduction, El Henson relates an experience she had when volunteering at her “old middle school in a hood of Oakland, CA.” A female student named Myra was dismissed from a class with a referral because her shirt was “too distracting and inappropriate.” Myra responded to the teacher, who was a man, by saying “F*** you,” whereupon she left the classroom. El Henson claims the teacher gave her a referral because he “could not resist over-sexualizing young black girls bodies,” and also due to his “perversions” and “[h]is uncontrollable sexual desire and arousal for a black girl” which “was ‘inappropriate’ and the true distraction to the classroom space.” However, she provides no evidence indicating that the teacher felt the way that she describes him to have felt. 

<a href="https://ktla.com/news/california/uc-berkeley-to-offer-a-nicki-minaj-course-for-spring-semester/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">According to KTLA,</a> for the Spring semester of 2023, Dr. El Henson will teach a course entitled “AAS 140.2: Nicki Minaj: The Black Barbie Femmecee &amp; Hip Hop Feminisms.” El Henson says that the course will address the influence Minaj has had on the hip-hop industry and how it relates to the “broader historical-social structures and hip-hop feminisms.” However, KTLA reports the course is still being evaluated by the university’s administration. On a Twitter thread about the course, Nicki Minaj <a href="https://twitter.com/dr_peaceandlove/status/1578191853433761794" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweeted</a>, “I’d love to stop by [the class].”

<a href="https://ourenvironment.berkeley.edu/users/1688049" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elizabeth Hoover</a> is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley). According to her university profile, her “research focuses on Native American environmental health and food sovereignty movements.” Hoover has also “published articles about food sovereignty, environmental reproductive justice in Native American communities, the cultural impact of fish advisories on Native communities, tribal citizen science, and health social movements.”

Since childhood, Hoover has identified as a descendant of the Mohawk and Mi’kmaq Indian tribes. However, according to <a href="https://campusreform.org/article?id=20572" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Campus Reform</a>, she revealed that “she has no tribal connections after decades of claiming otherwise.” This discovery was based on “genealogical research.”

On her website, Hoover posted a <a href="https://www.profelizabethmhoover.com/identity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Statement about Identity”</a> providing her reaction to her genealogical discovery. In this short essay, she addresses her life experience under the assumption that she was a native. In the opening paragraphs, she provided background on her upbringing:  
“Our Native identity has structured not only our family activities but how we relate to other people and they to us. I have been a fancy shawl dancer and bead worker for over three decades, something my sisters and I learned at powwows when we were young, and this has brought us great joy. I have been grateful to the people of Akwesasne who took me in called me their chosen daughter, auntie, and friend, and who put me to work. When people told me ‘welcome home’ when I would come to visit, that meant something to me. In short, this identity has shaped my entire life and guided my work.”
Hoover concludes: 
“Now, without any official documentation verifying the identity I was raised with, I do not think it is right for me to continue to claim to be a scholar of Mohawk/Mi’kmaq descent, even though my mother is insistent that she inherited this history for a reason.”
According to <a href="https://dailycal.org/2022/11/01/campus-associate-professor-elizabeth-hoover-rescinds-claim-to-native-american-ancestry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Californian</a>, Hoover, who used to teach at Brown University, “has received criticism in light of her statement, with many coming forward to allege the harm she caused Native communities there, especially regarding a statement she wrote denouncing the Pokanoket Tribe’s calls for Land Back from Brown.”

“UC Berkeley considers the issue of Hoover’s ethnic identity to be a ‘deeply personal matter,’ according to a campus statement provided by campus spokesperson Janet Gilmore.” The college does not “consider race or tribal identity in making employment decisions, in light of allegations that Hoover was a part of a “cluster hire.”

Dr. Gerard Harbison is an <a href="https://chem.unl.edu/gerard-harbison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emeritus Professor of Chemistry</a> at the University of Nebraska &#8211; Lincoln. His research interests include Computational Chemistry and NMR Spectroscopy. He has written several educational and research publications for several journals, including the Journal of Molecular Structure and the Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry.
When Dr. Harbison isn’t researching the origins of isotopomeric polymorphism, you can find him writing for his personal blog, titled, <a href="https://www.blogger.com/profile/06182552979528991484" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Transmillenial</a>. According to his blog, Dr. Harbison identifies as a &#8220;millenial, atheist, catholic, feminist, scientist trapped in the body of a much older man.” His blog posts typically perpetuate the same rhetoric &#8211; conservatives (and Turning Point USA) are bad.

So, in the spirit of listing and transparency, these are their current members at UNL.”

Jason McCormick is an <a href="https://www.unl.edu/english/docs/cv-mccormick.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">adjunct professor</a> at Southeast Community College - Milford and a lecturer at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. His areas of interest include issues of identity, college composition, and developmental composition course structures. He is currently completing his PhD at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln studying rhetoric and composition. In 2016, McCormick <a href="https://www.huffpost.com/entry/im-a-liberal-professor-and-my-conservative-students_b_5842031de4b0b93e10f8e201" target="_blank" rel="noopener">penned an article for the Huffington Post</a> titled, “I’m A Liberal Professor And My Conservative Students Terrify Me.” In the article, McCormick outlines how his conservative students terrify him as an adjunct professor because “when they fail, it’s always personal.” He writes that he isn’t worried about his liberal students because they can have open discussions and work through triggers or disagreements together.

His conservative students, however, are a different story. He accuses them of throwing out fake arguments with no validity or proof and being hostile towards anyone who disagrees. He claims he was “terrified not to” give their ideas equal space in the classroom. He alleges that conservative students put their personal egos above respect for others in the classroom or factual arguments.

Besides writing opinion pieces on how “terrifying” conservative students are, he also often takes to Twitter to discuss his disdain for conservatives and his approval of critical race theory. In a tweet from July 2021, McCormick <a href="https://twitter.com/JasonBMcCormick/status/1413471823761592326" target="_blank" rel="noopener">commented on a tweet </a>regarding the University of Nebraska voting to oppose Critical Race Theory. He commented that the regents should “apologize to every student trying to get a job” because the opposition of CRT “makes us all look bad.”

Dr. Gerard Harbison is an <a href="https://chem.unl.edu/gerard-harbison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emeritus Professor of Chemistry</a> at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. His research interests include Computational Chemistry and NMR Spectroscopy. He has written several educational and research publications for several journals, including the Journal of Molecular Structure and the Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry.

When Dr. Harbison isn’t researching the origins of isotopomeric polymorphism, you can find him writing for his personal blog, titled, <a href="https://www.blogger.com/profile/06182552979528991484" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Transmillenial</a>. According to his blog, Dr. Harbison identifies as a "millenial, atheist, catholic, feminist, scientist trapped in the body of a much older man.” His blog posts typically perpetuate the same rhetoric - conservatives (and Turning Point USA) are bad.

<a href="http://transmillenial.blogspot.com/2021/10/the-members-of-turning-point-usa-at-unl.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">In a blog post from October 29, 2021</a>, Dr. Harbison named all of the members of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Turning Point USA chapter and alleged they played a part in funding actions of “terrorists.” He writes, “Turning Point USA love lists. They have a long-standing list of faculty who have not hewn to the conservative way, either by writing stuff unfavorable to Donald Trump, or teaching things conservatives don't want to hear. So, in the spirit of listing and transparency, these are their current members at UNL.”

<a href="https://polisci.unl.edu/ari-kohen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Ari Kohen</a> is the Schlesinger Professor of Social Justice in the <a href="https://polisci.unl.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department of Political Science</a> at the <a href="https://www.unl.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">University of Nebraska at Lincoln</a>. According to his University biography, his current research interests include social justice education, technology and racism, and “extremist challenges to liberalism.”

In May of 2019, Dr. Kohen accused members of various TPUSA chapters in the state of Nebraska of being white supremacists. In a post on his personal Twitter account, Dr. Kohen asks why the students and former TPUSA staff pictured are flashing “the same white power symbol” as the Christchurch shooter.

Dr. Kohen is referencing a mass shooting that occurred in Christchurch, New Zealand just a few weeks prior to his tweet. During the March 2019 rampage, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-53861456" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a terrorist killed 51 and injured 41 Muslim members of two separate mosques across the city</a>.

In the left-most photo of the tweet, members of TPUSA chapters can be seen posing for a photo at an event while making an “ok” sign with their hands. Dr. Kohen juxtaposes the photo with a photo of the gunman making a similar gesture.

Many regard the “ok” sign as a euphemism for signaling the phrase “white power.” Despite persistence by members of the media, <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/the-media/2017/12/29/fake-news-daily-mail-uses-4chan-hoax-to-accuse-white-house-intern-of-being-white-supremacist/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the “ok” signal’s connection to white supremacy is a myth</a>. The connection is thought to have originated as a prank from the site 4-chan in 2017.

Dubbed “operation o-kkk,” anonymous users were instructed to spam liberal media outlets and social media platforms to claim the “ok” sign is a symbol for “white power.” Users were then instructed to create anonymous, left-leaning accounts to retweet the prank, simulate outrage at the gesture, and further amplify the campaign.

<a href="https://www.adl.org/blog/how-the-ok-symbol-became-a-popular-trolling-gesture" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Even the left-leaning Anti-Defamation League has declared the campaign a “hoax.</a>” Despite being widely regarded as fake, Dr. Kohen still maintains that anyone who flashes the sign is a “white nationalist.”

After he was contacted by various media outlets over his comments, Dr. Kohen only proceeded to double down on his accusations. In a series of tweets, he accuses TPUSA and Breitbart News of “weaponizing the internet” over his remarks and again falsely accuses the students of flashing a “white power” sign.

In the past, Dr. Kohen has repeatedly accused conservatives of harboring white nationalist sentiments and of supporting fascism. In a 2019 post on his personal blog, <a href="https://kohenari.net/post/181589676770#notes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">he refers to conservative supporters of President Donald Trump as a “cancer.”</a>

<a href="https://www.unl.edu/wgs/emily-kazyak" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emily Kazyak</a> is an Associate Professor for the Women’s &amp; Gender Studies Program at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Kazyak’s focus is on Sociology and Women’s &amp; Gender Studies. She teaches a variety of courses, such as WMNS 201: Introduction to LGBTQ/Sexuality Studies, WMNS 301: Sexuality and Power, and SOCI/WMNS 226: Families and Society. 

Kazyak has a <a href="https://www.emilykazyak.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a> that gives an overview of her research, current projects, publications, and more. Her research focuses on law and sexuality, geography and sexuality, and family and sexuality.

One article featured on her website is titled: “<a href="https://www.salon.com/2013/06/01/why_are_there_no_gay_disney_characters_partner/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Why are there no gay Disney characters</a>?” 

“Emily Kazyak found that far from being asexual, Disney films are steeped in sexuality — heterosexuality. According to Martin and Kazyak, the plot of Disney films overwhelmingly revolve around heterosexual romance. Heterosexual love — including, of course, the highly esteemed heterosexual kiss — is presented as “exceptional, powerful, magical and transformative.”

<a href="https://www.religion.ucsb.edu/people/faculty/rudy-busto/">Rudy Busto </a>is an Associate Professor at the University of California - Santa Barbara. His work is described as examining how “race structures state and civil society” and how the concept of race structures religion. 

As reported by <a href="https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=14987">Campus Reform</a>, Busto recently gave a lengthy presentation to one of his classes at the end of the semester in which he explained in detail why he believes that America is not an exceptional nation. He declared that “history has dispelled the notion of American Exceptionalism,” Busto listed off the reasons why he believed that America was no longer exceptional, including losing the Vietnam War and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

<a href="https://www.religion.ucsb.edu/people/student/timothy-snediker/">Timothy Snediker</a> works in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He first rose to notoriety for tweeting about his desire to assassinate Jesus Christ.

Snediker’s animosity towards Christ stems from his belief that the concepts of the individual and capitalism, both of which he opposes, arose out of Christianity during the enlightenment in Europe.

In the <a href="http://jcrt.org/religioustheory/2016/05/18/theodicy-of-money-the-scene-and-subject-of-forgiveness/">Theodicy of Money - The Scene of and Subject Forgiveness</a>, Snediker writes:

“Against the standard left critique of capitalism, which presupposes a certain secularism and a certain atheism, one must rather grapple with the peculiar verve of a comment made by Giorgio Agamben: “God did not die; he was transformed into money...To the identity of Christianity and capitalism corresponds the identity of God and money….Today, it is simply not enough to be an atheist, because, in the last instance, everyone believes in money." 

As written in <a href="https://jcrt.org/archives/14.1/snediker.pdf">The Autonomy of the Now</a>, he further expands on his position:

“Our hypothesis is that, under the brutal conditions of global capitalist hegemony, resistance necessitates the affirmation of the intrinsic instability and artificiality of identity…”

“...resistance to power necessitates a two-fold refusal of the authority and sovereignty of both Christianity and Secularism…”

“Secularization is the strategic means by which the West (which is to say, Christendom, or European colonialism, or, simply, Christianity) effects its accumulations, its appropriations, and its dominations.....Christianity’s hegemony has not waned; it has metamorphosed and Metastasized."

“Christianity is the identitarian religion par excellence: it ceaselessly works to individualize, legitimate and commoditize one’s identity....this is how Christianity was constituted as a privileged instrument of power”

“Resistance to power necessitates, therefore, a restoration of the autonomy of the now, which in turn requires a two-fold counter-strategy: one the one hand, an acceptance of the instability of identity and the concurrent affirmation of our becoming-other; on the other hand, a refusal of power, which, in the era of global capitalism amounts to a critique of the secular, or, again, a critique of Christianity. “

"Our imperative is to join the struggle for subjectivity, to struggle to speak truthfully about ourselves, to discover that relation to the outside which allows us, in accordance with Nietzsche’s injunction, to become what we are—to become, in a word, anti-Christian."

Snediker’s vitriol towards Christianity exploded when asked what he would do if he could travel 2000 years back in time, he <a href="https://notthebee.com/article/asked-what-hed-do-if-he-could-go-back-in-time-religion-professor-says-easy-i-would-find-and-assassinate-jesus-of-nazareth">tweeted</a>:

“Easy. I would find and assassinate Jesus of Nazareth.” 

He then proceeded to double-down, tweeting:

“Theologically speaking, it would be really important to get him before his calling and ministry begins, so that gives me roughly a decade to make it to Palestine, locate the man, and make my move. I don’t want to be the heroic Judas avant la lettre”

<a href="https://www.linguistics.ucsb.edu/people/mary-bucholtz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Mary Bucholtz</a> is a Professor of Linguistics at the University of California - Santa Barbara. Dr. Bucholtz’s areas of specialization include race, language, gender, sexuality, and African American English in California. She teaches larger, Gen-Ed courses for non-linguistic majors and is the author of “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/White-Kids-Language-Styles-Identity/dp/0521692040" target="_blank" rel="noopener">White Kids: Language, Race and Styles of Youth Identity</a>. “

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Kx-LdeZ3EY" target="_blank" rel="noopener">In a lecture recorded in 2020</a> for the Linguistic Society for America, Dr. Bucholtz announced that she is “passionate about dismantling racism and white supremacy in linguistics” during a lecture on racial equity. She began the lecture with a Native American “land acknowledgment” and characterized herself as a white, cis female-identifying person who is a “racist in recovery.”

Dr. Bucholtz ended her portion of the lecture by arguing that white students devalue inclusivity because they are uncomfortable with losing their place of privilege. She told teachers that they will need to be ready to “push back against their pushback”.

During another part of the Q&amp;A portion of her lecture, one listener asked how marginalized students in conservative communities can connect with one another. In her response, Dr. Bulcholtz urged students to take steps in order to protect themselves.

<a href="https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=15840" target="_blank" rel="noopener">In a lecture captured by the site Campus Reform</a>, Dr. Bucholtz claimed that white people, including herself, are by definition racist and must acknowledge that fact before any social progress can be made.

In another presentation, Dr. Bucholtz stated that she focuses on <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/17ZF8hrFLlfWIU97nshTp_NtG9z1ElDAF/edit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">white linguists because they are the ones who have created, reproduced, and benefited from the racist and exclusionary practices of our discipline, so white people must be the ones to fix it</a>.

Dr. <a href="https://www.csusb.edu/profile/dny" target="_blank" rel="noopener">David Yaghoubian</a> is a Professor of History at <a href="https://www.csusb.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">California State University - Santa Barbara</a>. 

In a series of articles and interviews reviewed by the Professor Watchlist team, Dr. Yaghoubian excuses despotic regimes around the world, demonizes the nation of Israel, and praises the terrorist group, Hezbollah. 

During <a href="https://en.mehrnews.com/news/175145/US-led-propaganda-targets-any-govt-that-opposes-US-hegemony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">one interview with Mehr News Agency</a>—an Iranian-based news station <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20061227215730/http://www.adl.org/PresRele/HolocaustDenial_83/4868_83.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">notorious for featuring segments that dispute the veracity of the Holocaust</a>—Dr. Yaghoubian offers high praise for Syrian autocrat, Bashar-al Assad. 

The professor describes him—along with Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro—as a “popularly elected leader” who is unfairly portrayed as a “thug, terrorist, criminal, and often murderer” and is just following his electoral mandate. According to Dr. Yaghoubian, Assad is vilified by Western media in part for his refusal to serve as “lapdogs” for Israeli Zionists.  

Since the Syrian Civil War erupted in 2011, Assad has been accused of <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/10-000-bodies-inside-syrian-president-bashar-al-assads-crackdown-1406315472" target="_blank" rel="noopener">torturing thousands of political dissidents and prisoners of war to death.</a>  Assad <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/05/27/AR2007052701117.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">further runs unopposed</a> during each election, ensuring victory.  

Dr. Yaghoubian further maligns Israel as an apartheid state that is committing ethnic cleansing of Arabs. Launching into a polemic during an interview for Tehran Times—another Iranian-owned TV station—he states that <a href="https://www.tehrantimes.com/news/460714/Selling-out-Palestine-will-not-result-in-regional-security-and" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gaza is undergoing a “murderous onslaught” by Israel</a>. 

Dr. Yaghoubian further states that Israel forces Gazans to drink poisoned water. He even goes so far as to allege the “Zionist jailers” are placing Gazans on a  caloric-restrictive diet in their “open-air prison.”

Dr. Yaghoubian maintains that Israel directs America’s foreign policy to benefit the “<a href="https://en.irna.ir/news/83255687/US-academic-Pompeo-is-a-Zionist-zealot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">promotion of Zionist colonialism</a>” across the Middle East. The same article claims Israel is directing the United States’s foreign policy against the terror organization Hezbollah, whom he praises. 

Founded in 1982, Hezbollah is an Iranian-funded and directed terror organization based in Lebanon that funds itself through drug smuggling <a href="https://centerforsecuritypolicy.org/hezbollah-the-worlds-leading-narco-terrorist-organization/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">with Latin-American cartels and cells in North America</a>. The group is known for<a href="https://www.investigativeproject.org/profile/131/hizballah" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> launching terror attacks across the world</a> that have claimed American lives.  

Dr. Yaghoubian urges the United States to recognize Hezbollah as a “natural ally” for stabilizing the Levant. He further lauds the group for its broad domestic support and social services. 

This is not the sole time Dr. Yaghoubian has praised Islamic fundamentalists. While condemning the <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/irans-gen-soleimani-killed-in-airstrike-at-baghdad-airport" target="_blank" rel="noopener">killing of Qasem Soleimani by an American drone strike in January 2020</a>, a subsequent article by the professor praised him as an Iranian hero. 

Soleimani was a General in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—composed of Iran’s elite military units—until his death. The group was <a href="https://2017-2021.state.gov/u-s-designates-islamic-revolutionary-guard-corps-as-a-foreign-terrorist-organization/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">designated as a foreign terrorist organization in 2019</a>.  

As commander of the Quds Force, he was <a href="https://centerforsecuritypolicy.org/qassem-soleimani-ran-ied-program-to-kill-and-maim-us-coalition-troops/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responsible for Iran’s international subversive and terrorist operations</a>. It is estimated that <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/iran-responsible-for-deaths-of-more-than-600-american-troops-in-iraq" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the deaths of over 600 Americans in Iraq through roadside bombs</a> may be traced back to Soleimani and the IRGC. 

In an interview following the strike, Dr. Yaghoubian <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20220122014610/https://en.abna24.com/news/gen-soleimani-assassination-motivates-axis-of-resistance-to-continue-his-path-us-academic_1215378.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">alleges that Soleimani was murdered at the direction of America’s “Zionist pied pipers.”</a> He claims the attack was carried out on behalf of Israel so that Zionists may continue to conduct ethnic cleansing in Palestine. He vows the “craven murder” will only motivate an “axis of resistance” against the United States and urges other nations to follow the “heroic” path of Soleimani and Muhandes, the other IRGC general killed in the strike.    

<a href="https://www.csusb.edu/profile/dny" target="_blank" rel="noopener">According to his university profile,</a> his research includes work on Modern-Iran, Iran-US relations, national identity, and minorities in the Middle East.

<a href="https://www.polsci.ucsb.edu/people/christopher-sebastian-parker" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Christopher Sebastian Parker P.h.D</a>. is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. According to his university profile, his academic specialties are “American Politics, Identity, Race, Ethnicity, [and] Public Opinion.”

In 2013, Parker published a book about the American Tea Party movement called <a href="https://press.princeton.edu/books/hardcover/9780691151830/change-they-cant-believe-in" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Change They Can't Believe In: The Tea Party and Reactionary Politics in America </a>

In the book, Parker draws “connections between the Tea Party and right-wing reactionary movements of the past, including the Know Nothing Party, the Ku Klux Klan of the 1920s, and the John Birch Society,” according to the Princeton University Press overview.

In 2016, Parker <a href="https://prospect.org/power/trump-s-racist-appeals-silver-lining/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote an article</a> for The American Prospect entitled “Do Trump’s Racist Appeals Have a Silver Lining?” Parker cites his claim that Trump is racist on the former President’s <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2015/07/08/donald-trumps-false-comments-connecting-mexican-immigrants-and-crime/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement about immigrants</a> during his 2016 campaign, in which Trump said:​​“They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” 

Parker claims a new racism has emerged to replace the racism of segregation and Jim Crow:  
“With the civil-rights laws that made segregation illegal, and the death of Jim Crow in the South, this old-fashioned racism gave way to a "new racism" built not on laws but on racial stereotypes.”
He also argues ,“Certain code words often accompan[y] this new racism. In the beginning, the term "equal opportunity" was often paired with such code words and phrases as “law and order" and "welfare queen.” 

In a 2020 article called <a href="https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/check-your-patriotism/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Check your Patriotism”</a>, Parker states that the African-Americans killed by police officers, such as Sandra Bland and George Floyd,  “were effectively lynched.”

Regarding the Fourth of July, Parker wrote, “this holiday is a sham, a fraud to the 13% of the population whose forebears were slaves. By any metric, Black people remain second-class citizens. Whether it’s life <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4984780/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">expectancy</a>, <a href="https://www.abebooks.com/Black-Wealth-White-New-Perspective-Racial/30080054029/bd?cm_mmc=ggl-_-US_Shopp_Trade-_-used-_-naa&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjwudb3BRC9ARIsAEa-vUtyzocLl5j6TVm8N2-Jl80c8sU2x6MN9ReTaS5blYnVIvE8Uz5OLygaAg4xEALw_wcB" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wealth</a> or achieving a <a href="https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/education-postsecondary/reports/2018/05/23/451186/neglected-college-race-gap-racial-disparities-among-college-completers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">college education</a>, Black people lag behind whites. (I can easily identify other criteria, but space limits recommend otherwise.)”

Yet, in the following paragraph of the article, he claims that the solution “to get the country on the right track”, is patriotism, which requires sacrifice and “commitment to the values on which the country is founded: freedom, equality, tolerance.” He claims patriotism was the motivation behind previous American progressive movements like “the women’s movement, labor movement and the civil rights movement.”

<a href="https://fhssfaculty.byu.edu/directory/rebecca-deschweinitz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Rebecca de Schweinitz</a> is an Associate Professor of History at <a href="https://www.byu.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brigham Young University</a> (BYU) in Provo, Utah. According to her university biography, Dr. de Schweinitz teaches subjects such as American History, US Women’s History, and African American History.
Much of Dr. de Schweinitz’s work focuses on racism within the LDS Church and BYU. In one of her published papers—tilted <a href="https://www.dialoguejournal.com/articles/there-is-no-equality-william-e-berrett-byu-and-healing-the-wounds-of-racism-in-the-latter-day-saint-past-and-present/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“There is No Equity”</a>—Dr. de Schweinitz details the history of racism within the university.
Dr. de Schweinitz is frequently cited by BYU for her expertise on racism, or more specifically, “anti-racism.” In one discussion—hosted by the BYU Kennedy Center—she extolls anti-racist scholar, Ibram X Kendi’s Book, “<a href="https://www.ibramxkendi.com/how-to-be-an-antiracist/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">How to be an Antiracist</a>.”
Dr. Kendi’s book became a bestseller in 2020 during the height of the BLM riots. The premise targets systemic racism and claims that not it is not enough or to be “non-racist,” an individual must be anti racist, or take proactive actions or support policies that alleviate racism.

During her comments on the panel, Dr. de Schweinitz <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RO0V1tQzMU&amp;ab_channel=BYUKennedyCenter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">vehemently endorses Dr. Kendi’s work</a>. She even goes as far as to compare herself to Dr. Kendi, lauding the historical credentials of the latter. Furthermore, she openly admits that Dr. Kendi’s conception is taught in her classroom and centers her scholarships.
At one point, she calls racism a “metastatic cancer” that affects every single aspect of life in the United States. She admits that Dr. Kendi is right, and that white people are “nurtured” to be racist.

As <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2012/03/11/what-is-critical-race-theory/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ben Shapiro writes in Breitbart News</a>, critical race theory is an intellectual branch of Marxism that views America and all of its institutions as being infected with white supremacy—to the point of some, including <a href="https://www.professorwatchlist.org/professor/nikolehannahjones" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nikole Hannah-Jones</a>, even <a href="https://reason.com/2020/09/23/1619-project-nikole-hannah-jones-1776-founding-race-new-york-times/">claiming</a> America’s real founding was in 1619 when the first slave stepped foot in North America, and not 1776 when the American colonies declared independence from England.
Dr. de Schweinitz states that anyone opposed to CRT is just viewing American history narrow-mindedly. She further states that an anti-racist America is “beautiful.” She articulates that critical theory is “one of many tools” that can be used by the church to alleviate racism.

According to her university biography, her research focuses on immigration, citizenship, law, race, and ethnicity.

In addition to teaching a class on immigration, Dr. Lopez is a sought-after speaker on the topic by the university. She was a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FNKG4m6FOg&amp;t=4041s&amp;ab_channel=BYUKennedyCenter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">featured guest in a Kennedy Center</a> event that condemned current immigration laws as oppressive and racist.

During her remarks, Dr. Lopez echoed her co-panelists praise of illegal immigration and encouragement to violate existing immigration laws. She further referred to the expectation of immigrants to learn English as a “privilege” of native-born Americans who will never face immigration laws.

Toward the end of her speech, Dr. Lopez stated that our ancestors were illegal immigrants. Americans have no right to deny immigrants, as this country “isn’t ours to begin with” and our ancestors caused "much greater destruction" than immigrants do today.

Dr. Lopez’s classes further focus on race and “white privilege.” In leaked documents from her course, SOC-112, Dr. Lopez tasked students to identify and expose “whiteness” at BYU.

The assignment, titled “Revealing Whiteness Activity,” asks teams of 3-4 students to explore the different aspects of “whiteness” built into the “physical and social environment” of BYU,

“As a Predominantly White Institution (PWI), BYU not only has a disproportionate number of White students in its student body (compared to the US population as a whole), but it also has different aspects of “Whiteness” built into its physical and social environment.” 

The document cites University of Washington professor and author of “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/White-Fragility-People-About-Racism/dp/0807047414" target="_blank" rel="noopener">White Fragility</a>,” Robin DeAngelo, to define “whiteness” as the “specific dimensions of racism that serve to elevate White people over people of color.” She includes three additional definitions to further define the term as:
- A location of structural advantage, or “race privilege.”
- A “standpoint,” or a place from which White people look at themselves, at others, and at society.
- A set of cultural practices that are usually unmarked and unnamed.

Students are tasked with identifying and photographing three separate manifestations of alleged whiteness on BYU’s campus before uploading the assignment for a final grade.

The document was originally published by the student-led publication, “<a href="https://thecougarchronicle.godaddysites.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Cougar Chronicle,</a>” and <a href="https://www.tpusa.com/live/at-byu-all-you-have-to-do-to-get-an-a-is-be-a-racist" target="_blank" rel="noopener">highlighted by TPUSA’s Morgan Zegers</a>,

Upon the initial publication, a professor now identified as Dr. Eric Bybee, threatened to report all students affiliated with the story to BYU’s Honor Code Office. Dr. Bybee further called for the administration to investigate the students for possible conduct violations. (The names of the students cited by Dr. Bybee have been redacted at their request.) The author eventually altered the article out of concern for his academic standing.

<a href="https://education.byu.edu/directory/view/bybee-eric" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Eric Ruiz Bybee</a> is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education in the <a href="https://education.byu.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">David O. McKay School of Education</a> at <a href="https://www.byu.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brigham Young University</a> in Provo, Utah.

In a message to the conservative, student-run publication, <a href="https://thecougarchronicle.godaddysites.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Cougar Chronicle</a>, Dr. Bybee threatened to report writers of the site and others for academic misconduct. The incident stemmed from a report by the paper in which a document from Dr. Jane Lopez’s course was published.

Her assignment—titled, “Revealing Whiteness Activity,”—asked students to identify and photograph three aspects of “whiteness” represented at BYU. The document further cited the author of “White Fragility”, Robin DeAngelo, to define “whiteness” as “specific dimensions of racism that serve to elevate white people over people of color.”

Several days after the story was posted, the site was inundated with comments accusing the author of posting private intellectual property.

Shortly after, Dr. Eric Bybee privately messaged the Chronicle and demanded the post be taken down. He likewise accused the authors of stealing Dr. Lopez’s intellectual property and engaging in “targeted harassment” before assuring that he is committed to pursuing “appropriate consequences” against those responsible.

He threatened to report several conservative students and activists on campus—including several who do not even write for the paper—to the university’s Honor Code office administration for disciplinary action (The names of the students have been blurred at their request).

<a href="https://honorcode.byu.edu/about-us" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Honor Code Office</a> is tasked with enforcing the university’s code of conduct. Those found in violation may face academic discipline or—in extreme cases—expulsion from BYU.

Upon review of the Honor Code by the Professor Watchlist Team, t<a href="https://catalog.byu.edu/policy/academic-honesty">here appears to be no rule against the posting of an assignment</a>.

While the office ultimately chose to not investigate, the author of the story eventually edited the sections of the report that included Dr. Lopez’s course due to the nature of the threat. <a href="https://fhssfaculty.byu.edu/directory/jacob-rugh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jacob S. Rugh</a> is an Associate Professor in the College of Family, Home, &amp; Social Sciences department at Brigham Young University (BYU).

In August of 2020, Rugh <a href="https://www.sltrib.com/opinion/commentary/2020/08/09/jacob-s-rugh-an-open/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote a letter</a> to BYU’s Committee on Race, Equity, and Belonging. One of his aims for writing the letter was “to amplify the voices of Black BYU students, specifically <a href="https://www.sltrib.com/news/education/2020/07/18/byus-black-student-union/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">their recent declaration</a> of grievances and letter on remembering and monuments to church, university and NAACP leaders.” 

Rugh said he has focused his BYU “citizenship efforts” to “the ongoing redesign of general education at BYU to include a new, focused diversity and inclusion requirement.” He also aims to establish “a new campus center for racial equality that would (among other tasks) spur the diversification of faculty now and enrich the pipeline of future faculty.” 

According to the letter, another priority of Rugh’s is for BYU to establish “a long-term process of institutional repentance,” on campus. 

In October of 2022, Rugh “quoted an anti-white article favorably in a tweet,” <a href="https://www.campusreform.org/article?id=20488" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to Campus Reform</a>. The article, written by Perry Bacon Jr. for <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/10/13/america-has-white-voter-problem/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Washington Post</a>, was titled “America’s problem is White people keep backing the Republican Party.” Bacon Jr. claims that there is an alliance between white Americans and the Republican party, which he considers to be the “most important and problematic dynamic in American politics today.” (see tweet below).

<a href="https://ph.byu.edu/directory/stephanie-lutz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Stephanie Lutz</a> is an Internship Coordinator and Professor in the Department of Public Health at Brigham Young University (BYU). 

According to <a href="https://campusreform.org/article?id=20946" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Campus Reform</a>, in a “<a href="https://catalog.byu.edu/life-sciences/public-health/womens-health-issues" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HLTH 450: Women’s Health</a> course,” course, Lutz promoted “the concept of ‘interspace’ in pregnancy, the idea that perhaps someone isn't truly pregnant if they don't ‘know’ whether they're pregnant yet.”

Lutz also went further with her claim that pregancy is ambiguous, and suggested use of a pill taken by a woman who is unsure if she is pregnant or not:
“If she had unprotected intercourse before she takes a positive pregnancy test. There's a pill she can take to just ensure. Like in this interspace, like I don’t want to take a pregnancy test and I kind of don't want to know if I actually conceived. This pill will just take care of it if I did, and if I didn't.”
Campus Reform spoke with Ashleigh Watts, a former student of Lutz, who shared her experiences in the professor’s class:

“I just found it ironic that she pretty much worshipped Margaret Sanger who founded planned parenthood and essentially led the mass genocide of black children by means of abortion…while also teaching us CRT, about microaggressions, white guilt, and how to be an ‘anti-racist,’” Watts said. 

In October of 2022, Lutz told <a href="https://universe.byu.edu/2022/10/11/female-empowerment-how-byu-is-uplifting-women/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Universe</a> (a BYU publication) her approach to covering the subject of woman in her class:
 “In my class, while we cover the lifespan of the woman, we also discuss body image, self-esteem, nutrition, social media’s portrayal of women, women being marketed to sell products, eating disorders and more.” 
In her course, Lutz also tries “to infuse more of the social context of what’s going on in that, looking at marginalized groups such as LGBTQ+, BIPOC, disabled women, etc.”

In an interview with an Iranian news station, Butz stated that <a href="https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-2006-02-04-0602040129-story.html">he agreed</a> with Iranian Prime Minister Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that the Holocaust was a “myth.” He went on to state that the Holocaust was a “deliberately conceived falsehood” in order to create the state of Israel and congratulated the Prime Minister for denying its existence:
“I congratulate him on becoming the first head of state to speak out clearly on [the Holocaust] and regret only that it was not a Western head of state”
Despite his beliefs, Northwestern University <a href="https://www.northwestern.edu/newscenter/stories/2006/02/bienen.html">continues</a> to employ Butz. University President Henry S. Bienen stated that while his opinions are “reprehensible,” no action can be taken as Butz’s views are personal and expressed outside of the classroom.

Despite his beliefs, Northwestern University <a href="https://www.northwestern.edu/newscenter/stories/2006/02/bienen.html">continues</a> to employ Butz. University President Henry S. Bienen stated that while his opinions are “reprehensible,” no action can be taken as Butz’s views are personal and expressed outside of the classroom.

<a href="https://www.sociology.northwestern.edu/people/faculty/core/laura-beth-nielsen.html">Dr. Laura Beth Nielsen</a> is a Professor of Sociology at Northwestern University. She wrote in an op-ed that there are good arguments for restricting free speech rights. She said that racist hate speech has been linked to higher rates of smoking and obesity, for example. Supporting her argument for restricting speech, she pointed out that recently the Supreme Court ruled that a music group ("The Slants", a band made up of Asian-Americans) was allowed to use a derogatory name as their band name, although she did not point out the band was using the name to mock people who use the name in a derogatory fashion.

<a href="https://www.medill.northwestern.edu/directory/faculty/steven-thrasher.html">Dr. Steven Thrasher</a> is an Assistant Professor of Journalism and the Daniel H. Renberg Chair of Social Justice in Reporting at Northwestern University. His university biography details his role as having an “emphasis on issues relevant to the LGBTQ community.” 

Professor Thrasher is on record defending the riots and looting that occurred in response to George Floyd's death. In an interview with <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/05/31/866306943/officials-have-condemned-violence-amid-george-floyd-protests-journalist-steven-t">NPR</a>, he described the rampant destruction burning of police stations by rioters as a "proportionate response."

Thrasher was previously the subject of controversy after his <a href="https://legalinsurrection.com/2019/05/nyu-graduation-speaker-calls-trump-a-fascist-praises-anti-israel-bds-movement/">commencement speech</a> at New York University, in which he called President Trump a Fascist and praised the BDS movement against Israel. It was later discovered that he had made numerous <a href="https://www.israellycool.com/2019/05/24/exposed-bds-professor-stephen-thrashers-antisemitic-tweets/">anti-Semitic remarks</a> on his <a href="https://twitter.com/thrasherxy">Twitter account</a>.

Dr. Sumanas Jordan is an <a href="https://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/faculty-profiles/az/profile.html?xid=41686#publications" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and the founding director of Northwestern Medicine’s Gender Pathways Program.</a> She has been performing gender-affirming surgeries at Northwestern Medicine since 2018.

The <a href="https://www.nm.org/conditions-and-care-areas/gender-pathways-program" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gender Pathways Program</a> is “committed to providing gender-affirming care to transgender and gender nonbinary patients.” A 2020 <a href="https://news.northwestern.edu/stories/2020/06/gender-pathways-program-makes-trans-health-care-a-priority/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northwestern Now</a> article says the program “offers feminizing and masculinizing facial, top and bottom surgeries, as well as connections for hormone therapy, primary care, preventative health screenings and laser hair removal.”

Dr. Jordan was the lead author of a study released in September 2022, titled <a href="https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapediatrics/article-abstract/2796426?resultClick=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Top Surgery and Chest Dysphoria Among Transmasculine and Nonbinary Adolescents and Young Adults.”</a> The study sought to answer the question: “Does gender-affirming top surgery improve chest dysphoria, gender congruence, and body image in transmasculine and nonbinary adolescents and young adults?”

The participants in the study ranged in age from 13 to 24, with an average age of 18. In a <a href="https://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-surgery-transgender-teens-northwestern-study-20220926-2yrapzgitzatla6cnzv2xqhzvm-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chicago Tribune</a> article about the study, Dr. Jordan states:
“Our findings are that top surgery (to remove the breasts) benefits these teenagers and young adults.”
She adds that she does not believe all teens should be required to delay these life-altering surgeries until age 18:
“If you had any other medical conditions where you said, ‘I’m not going to treat your diabetes or high blood pressure until you’re 18’ or ‘I’m going to hold off on treating you for years,’ it’s not ethical to withhold care for that long.” 
In a <a href="https://news.nm.org/study-top-surgery-significantly-improves-quality-of-life-in-transmasculine-and-nonbinary-teens-and-young-adults/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northwestern Medicine press release</a>, Dr. Jordan states:
“Patients who choose gender-affirming top surgery feel better about their bodies, and it enhances their quality of life. Our hope is that this study will now be used as a resource for teens, young adults and for families who want to learn more about surgical transition options.” 
Dr. Jordan’s <a href="https://northwesternplasticsurgery.com/chicago-plastic-surgery/sumanas-jordan-md/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">biography</a> states that she “welcomes all gender identities and offers top surgery, vaginoplasty, and phalloplasty for transgender and non-binary individuals.”

Thomas Billard is an <a href="https://communication.northwestern.edu/faculty/thomas-billard.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Assistant Professor in the School of Communication</a> and, by courtesy, the Department of Sociology at Northwestern University. Billard goes by ‘TJ’ and uses ‘they/them’ and ‘he/him’ pronouns. He is the founding executive director of the <a href="https://www.appliedtransstudies.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Center for Applied Transgender Studies</a> in Chicago and editor of the Center’s flagship journal, the <a href="https://bulletin.appliedtransstudies.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bulletin of Applied Transgender Studies.</a>

Professor Billard has been outspoken against legislation preventing children from receiving hormones and sex reassingment surgeries. After Arkansas became the first state to prohibit physicians from providing hormone treatments, puberty blockers, or surgeries to minors, Billard was quoted in a <a href="https://news.northwestern.edu/stories/2021/04/whats-the-impact-on-transgender-youth-of-arkansas-ban-and-other-legislation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northwestern Now</a> article:
“What is happening in Arkansas is merely the latest instance of conservatives weaponizing health misinformation against transgender communities to justify discrimination. Arkansas legislators called their bill the Save Adolescents from Experimentation Act, but the fact is gender-affirming care for transgender youth is safe and necessary.” 
He continues:
“And outlawing that care will cost trans lives. Doctors know this. Trans people know this. Arkansas legislators know this. But conservatives exploit public unawareness of the intricacies of transgender medical care, peddle misinformation and then use that misinformation to justify prejudicial legislation.” 
After Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, Billard was asked his thoughts on the <a href="https://news.northwestern.edu/stories/2022/06/virtual-press-conference-on-roe-v-wade-reversal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">implications of the ruling</a> for issues such as trans rights, same-sex marriage and contraception access. He stated:
“When we look across the landscape of the conservative movement’s legislative efforts in different states, it’s part of a general program of attacking bodily autonomy and private rights to necessary health care.”

<a href="https://psychology.northwestern.edu/people/faculty/core/profiles/sylvia-perry.html">Sylvia Perry</a> is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Northwestern University. 

She also serves as the Principle Investigator for the<a href="http://www.sciplab.com/people" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Social Cognition and Intergroup Processes</a> (SCIP) Laboratory, which studies the spread of inherent, racial bias in children, parents, and communities. 

Perry encourages parents to discuss race, police brutality, and white privilege with their children. During an interview with the campus's news site <a href="https://news.northwestern.edu/stories/2022/02/experts-on-black-history-month/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northwestern Now</a>, Perry decries parents who take a “passive approach” in talking about race. She alleges that children absorb society's racial stances and even toddlers can understand race: 

“If your child can have a conversation with you, they are old enough to start having conversations about race. As early as preschool, children start showing racial group favoritism.” 

In a study titled, “<a href="https://psyarxiv.com/3xdg8/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Initial Evidence that Parent-Child Conversations about Race Reduce Racial Biases Among White US Children</a>,” Perry accuses children of harboring innate “pro-white/anti-black” biases. Dr. Perry concludes that parents can help their children become “race-conscious” by eschewing “color-blind” stances and fostering uncomfortable discussions about racism.  

Another study—“<a href="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/57b346ade4fcb5df8e55a622/t/5fd970632ef1c91c7feb6ac2/1608085603904/George+et+al.+Child+Development+LOI.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Raising an Anti-Racist Child: Black Americans Parents’ Perceptions of and Recommendations for White Parents</a>,”—alleges racial conversations are needed to foster “anti-racism” within children successfully. 

In his paper, “<a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9545064/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Racial Socialization Messages in White Parents’ Discussions of Current Events Involving Racism</a>,” Perry praises the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement for raising white Americans' consciousness about white privilege, police brutality, and systemic racism. 

While acknowledging that BLM is useful in facilitating “color-conscious conversations,” Dr. Perry is still dismayed by the majority of white Americans whom she claims still resist the idea they benefit from their race. She concludes that researchers must determine how to better direct white people to discuss the aforementioned issues—namely whiteness—so parents are equipped to discuss their racial privilege.

<a href="https://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/faculty-profiles/az/profile.html?xid=28078" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Diane Chen</a> is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry &amp; Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University. She is also the founding psychologist of Lurie Children’s Gender &amp; Sex Development Program.

Campus Reform reports that Chen was in charge of a study that was criticized for having no control group. The study—”<a href="https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2206297" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Psychosocial Functioning in Transgender Youth after 2 Years of Hormones</a>”—analyzed 315 participants, between the ages of 12 and 20, over the course of two years.

Participants received “gender-affirming hormones,” which are hormones to make their male or female bodies resemble bodies of the opposite sex. Chen claims, “During the study period, appearance congruence, positive affect, and life satisfaction increased, and depression and anxiety symptoms decreased.”

However, <a href="https://donoharmmedicine.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Do No Harm</a>—an organization of doctors, nurses, and health care professionals—questioned the study’s lack of a control group. In a report provided to <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/02/01/exclusive-medical-group-pokes-holes-fatally-flawed-study-claiming-prove-kids-benefit-transgender-hormones/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Signal</a>, Do No Harm calls the study “fatally flawed and borderline unscientific.” Stanley Goldfarb, board chair at Do No Harm, said:
“The absence of any control group raises the possibility that ongoing psychological counseling and therapy may explain the slight improvement in some parameters of the study.” 
Do No Harm’s report also notes:
“The researchers and four clinics featured in this study have a well-publicized history of radical activism and advocacy for the medical transition of children … Given this obvious bias, there is a high likelihood that study participants were steered towards responses that align with the activism promoted by these clinics.” 
<a href="https://campusreform.org/article?id=21832" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Campus Reform</a> reports that Chen is now part of another study, called “A Longitudinal Study of Gender Nonconformity in Prepubescent Children.” The study looks at the effects of the social transition of kids as young as six years old.

In March 2023, Chen—along with dozens of other professors—signed a “<a href="https://www.gamcstatement.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Statement Regarding Laws Restricting Gender Affirming Medical Care</a>.” The statement focuses on two key points:
“First, there is consensus in the field, and amongst these signatories, that gender affirming medical care is important and beneficial for many transgender youth. Second, we do not support laws restricting access to gender affirmative care.” 
The signatories conclude their <a href="https://www.campusreform.org/article?id=21908" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>:

The organization, which is funded primarily through its members, says its mission is “to promote evidence based care, education, research, public policy, and respect in transgender health.”

WPATH has a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement that reads, in part:
“WPATH affirms its commitment to diversity and inclusion as principles that enrich individuals, and society as a whole. We strive to learn from diverse perspectives, and through inclusivity, we pay homage to the fundamental principles of dignity, equality, equity, justice, and fairness.” 
In addition:
“WPATH encourages our members to champion these principles as well, and to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in their work, workplaces, and everyday lives.”

<a href="https://afam.northwestern.edu/people/faculty/barnor-hesse.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Barnor Hesse</a> is an Associate Professor of African American Studies, Political Studies, and Sociology at Northwestern University. According to his university profile, his research interests include, but are not limited to: black political thought, blackness and affect, and race and governmentality.

Hesse teaches several undergraduate courses, including “Unsettling Whiteness” and “Racism in Western Modernity.” The course description for “<a href="https://class-descriptions.northwestern.edu/4820/WCAS/AF_AM_ST/39740" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Unsettling Whiteness</a>” says the course “will examine whiteness in four main ways: as the racialization of white populations; as the formation of white supremacy; as the cultural institution of the White Gaze; and as the regime of White Democracy.”

“<a href="https://afam.northwestern.edu/courses/2021-2022/class-schedules/spring-2022-class-schedule.html#courses" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Racism in Western Modernity</a>” says the course “is not overly concerned with empirical case studies or attitudinal assessments; it promotes a conceptual approach rather than a descriptive one.” Instead:
“It will be concerned with explaining the apparent racial discrepancies and racial injustices of western modernity (e.g. democracies combined with racism, liberalism combined with imperialism) and how those racial discrepancies and racial injustices inform, shape and define western societies like the United States.” 
Hesse created a resource called “<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/nyc-public-school-asks-parents-to-reflect-on-their-whiteness" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The 8 White Identities</a>.” East Side Community School in Manhattan came under fire after they gave “The 8 White Identities” to every parent “as part of a series of materials meant for reflection” and as “food for thought.”

Hesse’s curriculum claims,
“There is a regime of whiteness, and there are action-oriented white identities. People who identify with whiteness are one of these. It’s about time we build an ethnography of whiteness, since white people have been the ones writing about and governing Others.”

Although attempting to frame right-wing rioters as the REAL culprits behind the rampant destruction, Kelley attempts to excuse looting by claiming the real disaster is racism afflicted upon minorities in America, and chastises Americans’ concern over the rioting. He asks, "What kind of society values property over black life?"

Dr. Robin Kelley is also a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against the state of Israel. As the co-author on an editorial in the <a href="https://electronicintifada.net/content/educators-cant-stay-silent-about-israeli-apartheid/10928" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Electronic Intifada</a>,  Kelley argued that Israel is an “apartheid state” and urged his fellow academics to boycott Israel in an attempt to cripple the nation. 

In his first book, <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Hammer-Hoe-Communists-Depression-Morrison/dp/0807842885" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hammer and Hoe,</a> Kelley claimed, “As we have seen time and time again, anti-Communism was also a veil for racism.” 

Throughout his life and academic career, Kelley has sustained an interest in and association with Communist thought. This has manifested in several of his books. 

In 2002, Kelley wrote <a href="https://edisciplinas.usp.br/pluginfile.php/1016862/mod_resource/content/1/Kelley_Freedom%20Dreams.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Freedom Dreams”</a>, which, according to its description, is a “history of renegade intellectuals and artists of the African diaspora in the twentieth century.” 

In the book’s first chapter titled “When History Sleeps”: A BEGINNING, Kelley writes about his intellectual influences during the Reagan-era:
“I fell in love with the young [Karl] Marx of The German Ideology and The Communist Manifesto, the visionary Marx who predicted the abolition of all exploitative institutions.”
In a chapter titled, “The Negro Question”: Red Dreams of Black Liberation,” Kelley features the communist revision of the "Negro National Anthem” 
“Sing a song full of the strife that the dark past has taught us. 
Sing a song full of the hope Communism has brought us. 
Facing a Red! Red! Sun of a new day begun 
Let us fight on till victory is won.”
In the same chapter, Kelley wrote of his prior association with the Communist Workers Party, “During the mid-1980s, I gave two years of my life as a rank-and-file member of the Communist Workers’ Party (CWP), selling Worker’s Viewpoint, attending study groups, writing internal position papers, and helping organize demonstrations.”

Concerning the left-wing in American politics, Kelley comments:  “Even if one knows absolutely nothing of the American Left and its history, anyone with a political bone in her [i.e. the Left’s: that is, someone who is a member of the Left] body recognizes its deep, unwavering interest in the plight of black people.”

Later into the chapter, Kelley suggests that the Holocaust was not motivated by anti-semitism, but by colonialism:  
“The Holocaust that resulted in the murder of six million Jews was merely the most vicious manifestation of Europe’s colonial policy.”
Kelley bases this claim on sociologist W.E.B. Du Bois’ statement in <a href="https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_World_and_Africa/3roUDAAAQBAJ?hl=en&amp;gbpv=1&amp;dq=%E2%80%9CIn+The+World+and+Africa%E2%80%9D+du+bois&amp;printsec=frontcover" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“In The World and Africa”</a> (1947):
“There was no Nazi atrocity—concentration camps, wholesale maiming and murder, defilement of women or ghastly blasphemy of childhood—which Christian civilization or Europe had not long been practicing against colored folk in all parts of the world in the name of and for the defense of a Superior Race born to rule the world.” 
In an essay for the magazine <a href="https://hammerandhope.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hammer and Hope</a> titled “<a href="https://hammerandhope.org/article/issue-1-article-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Why We Are Called Hammer &amp; Hope”</a> Kelley outlines the magazine’s goals:
“Our Hammer &amp; Hope has a different goal. It aims to expose the system of racial capitalism tearing up neighborhoods, filling the state’s cages, and extracting value from working people while leaving them in a state of insecurity and precarity. Our hammer will smash myths and illusions. It will tear down the master’s house, as Audre Lorde would say.” 
In the essay, Kelley addresses the influence of communists in his life and how he uses their teachings to combat certain “forms of oppression”:
“Black Communists taught me that we need not choose between anti-racism and class solidarity; they are not mutually exclusive but rather mutually constitutive. The same holds true for the fights against all forms of oppression: sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. The Black Communists of Alabama also taught me that local struggles exist in a global context. The forces arrayed against us are no respecters of nations, and the same ought to hold true of our movements.”
Though he does not distance himself from Communism, Kelley seeks to distance himself from the Communist hammer and sickle symbol for the following reasons:
“The symbol of the hammer has its limits. Its arcane, masculinist imagery makes it an unsuitable representation of a working class that today is concentrated in health care, the service sector, and the apparel industry, and, especially if we count unpaid household labor, is overwhelmingly female. White nationalists march behind Thor’s hammer, while cops have used “the hammer” as a symbol of their authority.”

<a href="https://law.ucla.edu/faculty/faculty-profiles/kimberle-w-crenshaw">Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw</a> is a Professor of Law and the Promise Institute Chair in Human Rights at the <a href="https://www.ucla.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA)</a>. She also teaches law as a professor at the <a href="https://www.law.columbia.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Columbia School of Law</a>.

Dr. Crenshaw is best recognized as a founding scholar of critical race theory and intersectionality. She has continued to make significant contributions to each field throughout her career. Both concepts have been widely adopted by the radical left as the basis for their activism and movements.

Dr. Crenshaw <a href="https://www.jstor.org/stable/1229039?read-now=1&amp;refreqid=excelsior%3Ad80f43d375e3f40179924f768317a237&amp;seq=1#page_scan_tab_contents" target="_blank" rel="noopener">first defined intersectionality in a landmark paper published for the Stanford Law Review, titled, “Mapping the Margins.</a>” In it, she praises identity politics as necessary to the lived experiences of American minorities.

However, Dr. Crenshaw then comments that identity politics does not go nearly far enough, countering that intersectionality is needed to successfully combat what she alleges is the systemic oppression minorities face in America.

Intersectionality is used by activists and academics to depict racial and sexual oppression as interconnected amongst various minority groups. For example in “Mapping the Margins,” Dr. Crenshaw claims that a black woman would suffer from both systemic racism and sexism in America. She further characterizes the theory as the link between <a href="https://newdiscourses.com/2021/03/forging-woke-one-ring-kimberle-crenshaws-mapping-margins/">contemporary politics and postmodernism</a>. Academic James Lindsay describes <a href="https://newdiscourses.com/2021/03/forging-woke-one-ring-kimberle-crenshaws-mapping-margins/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">intersectionality as the “birthplace of wokeness.”</a>

Much of intersectionality’s academic framework was used by Dr. Crenshaw to develop concepts of critical race theory. She drew additional inspiration from <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/nov/12/kimberle-crenshaw-the-woman-who-revolutionised-feminism-and-landed-at-the-heart-of-the-culture-wars" target="_blank" rel="noopener">critical legal studies, which, like critical race theory, posits that no American law can truly be neutral or impartial.</a>

Ben Shapiro defines critical race theory—also referred to as critical theory—in an article for Breitbart <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2012/03/11/what-is-critical-race-theory/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">as an intellectual branch of Marxism that alleges American society and all of its founding institutions are infected with white supremacy</a>. Furthermore, proponents of critical race theory believe that people should take proactive steps to dismantle these institutions in the name of equity, which is also referred to as being “anti-racist.”

Dr. Crenshaw herself further defined the concept in an appearance on MSNBC in July of 2021, She characterized her theory as a method to understand how racial inequality is produced—or acts as a “conduit”—from laws, institutions, and historical oppression, all of which are referenced interchangeably with white supremacy. One such institution that Dr. Crenshaw targets are police departments and policing as a whole. In a <a href="https://mobile.twitter.com/sandylocks/status/1306271685625049089?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweet from September 2020</a>, she demanded that all police departments be defunded, a move deemed necessary for the full dismantlement of “white nationalism.”

Crenshaw’s work and activism have been instrumental to school districts adopting critical race theory into their curriculums. One district in Illinois allegedly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lawsuit-illinois-school-district-forced-students-on-privilege-walks-compared-whiteness-to-the-devil" target="_blank" rel="noopener">segregated students by race during a “privilege walk</a>” and compared “whiteness” to the devil during class lessons. Another school district in Buffalo, New York taught students that<a href="https://www.city-journal.org/buffalo-public-schools-critical-race-theory-curriculum" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> America is, “built on racism,” and all Americans, “have an implicit racial bias.</a>”

Dr. Crensaw’s work has spawned other prominent critical race theorists like Dr. Nikole Hannah-Jones, author of the 1619 Project. She has described <a href="https://news.columbia.edu/news/what-does-intersectionality-mean-2021-kimberle-crenshaws-podcast-must-listen-way-learn" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Jones work as “phenomenal” to the rethinking of the American founding</a>.

Dr. Jones <a href="https://reason.com/2020/09/23/1619-project-nikole-hannah-jones-1776-founding-race-new-york-times/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claims</a> that America’s real founding was in 1619 when the first slave stepped foot in North America, and not 1776 when the American colonies declared independence from England. <a href="https://nypost.com/2020/03/14/new-york-times-corrects-the-1619-project-but-its-still-a-giant-lie/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Though now retracted for numerous false claims</a>, the documents have now been <a href="https://dc.medill.northwestern.edu/blog/2020/07/21/the-1619-project-curriculum-taught-in-over-4500-schools-frederick-county-public-schools-has-the-option/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added to the curriculum of 4,500 schools across the country</a>.

Despite evidence to the contrary, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/7-lying-media-outlets-claiming-crt-isnt-being-taught-in-public-schools" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a number of pundits on the left claim that critical race theory isn’t being taught in schools</a>. However, Dr. Crenshaw herself has written that the theory may serve as a <a href="https://twitter.com/realchrisrufo/status/1417313212207271936?s=27" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“catch-all” for race-based scholarship</a>.

<a href="https://equity.ucla.edu/who-we-are/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mr. Johnathan Perkins</a> is the Director of Race and Equity for the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the University of California - Los Angeles.

In a series of tweets—<a href="https://thepostmillennial.com/uclas-race-and-equity-officer-who-wished-death-upon-clarence-thomas-once-admitted-to-staging-a-race-hoax" target="_blank" rel="noopener">first highlighted by the Post Millennial</a>—Mr. Perkins attacks Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife, Ginni Thomas, writing that he hopes Mr. Thomas dies in the hospital and accuses Mrs. Thomas of treason.

At the time, <a href="https://news.yahoo.com/justice-clarence-thomas-hospital-supreme-151322076.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Clarence Thomas had been hospitalized for the flu</a>. The accusation directed at Ginni Thomas refers to her involvement in <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/03/28/jan-6-committee-likely-to-request-ginni-thomas-testimony/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">voter integrity protests surrounding the 2020 general election</a>.

In the tweet, Mr. Perkins refers to Clarence Thomas as “Uncle Thomas.” The phrase is a racial slur used to accuse black people of selling out their race to white people.

Mr. Perkins is no stranger to racially-incendiary remarks. On his <a href="https://johnathansperkins.com/blog" target="_blank" rel="noopener">personal blog, he writes about white privilege, systemic racism, and antiracist work</a> on a frequent basis.

In one article, he berates the <a href="https://johnathansperkins.com/blog/2020/10/1/an-open-letter-to-my-white-extended-family-ahead-of-november-3rd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">conservative, white members of his family in an open letter posted prior to the 2020 general election</a>. He demands to know who plans to vote for a president who “incites white supremacist violence against black people” and vows to never associate with that family member again:

“If you, or any of your immediate family (spouses, children, children-in-law) are planning to vote for Donald Trump on November 3, I ask that you please contact me to discuss before that date. I hope that I never again have the unfortunate experience of discovering that someone in my own family has voted for a president who continues to incite white supremacist violence against Black people, violence and hate against the LGBTQ+ community, hatred and misogyny against women, and violent racist xenophobia against brown immigrants.

If, once again, we affected family members are forced to cope with this trauma, I regret that I, personally, will no longer be able to associate with the family member/voter in question. I will not attend family events where that member is present and will call out said family loudly whenever we interact from now on. I will no longer ignore the fact that my family members voted for all these things, against my humanity.“

<a href="https://johnathansperkins.com/blog/2020/2/27/white-privilege-a-euphemism-for-white-supremacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Another post defines white privilege</a> as “the idea that white people enjoy a particular set of benefits, simply by virtue of their whiteness (despite the harmful costs).” Mr. Perkins further writes that this privilege is a “manifestation of white supremacy” and many white people may be regarded as virulently racist as a Klansman.

“I need to make something abundantly clear: white supremacy, like most harmful social constructs, exists on a spectrum. The Beverly Hills middle school English teacher who, intentionally or otherwise, does not include literature by black authors in her curriculum, is operating within the same fundamental system of beliefs, the same structure, as the Mississippi Klansman: whiteness as supreme, which by definition does not acknowledge blackness, which necessarily degrades it.“

In one article—published during ongoing riots in the summer of 2020—Dr. Perkins <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20220328223757/https://johnathansperkins.com/blog/2020/5/31/dont-talk-to-me-about-looting-an-open-letter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">excoriates white people who might hold concerns about the continuous rioting and looting</a> that was occurring in cities across the country. Describing white people as the “original looters of this country,” he writes that America had been founded on looting and violence, and no meaningful civil rights movements can, or would take place without riots:

“America is the original looter. White people are the original looters in this country. The original colonizers looted the indigenous people of this land damn-near completely to death. The original colonizers stole us from our homes, brought us to this place, and continued to loot and terrorize us for the last 400 years.

Violence has been the American way since its inception. Looting and pillaging is as American as apple pie. You think the so-called Boston Tea Party was a party? It was a riot.

No meaningful civil rights advancement has taken place in this country without riots. I personally choose to never carry out or even promote violence. But police violence, government violence, is the only thing Black people have ever known in America.” 

The BLM-inspired riots were the largest in American history, <a href="https://fee.org/articles/george-floyd-riots-caused-record-setting-2-billion-in-damage-new-report-says-here-s-why-the-true-cost-is-even-higher/#:~:text=Only%20now%20are%20we%20beginning,%241%20billion%20to%20%242%20billion." target="_blank" rel="noopener">causing an estimated $2 billion in damages and 47 deaths.</a>

Mr. Perkins <a href="https://www.thecollegefix.com/campus-hate-crime-hoaxes-a-best-of-list/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">previously staged a race hoax while attending the University of Virginia.</a> He alleged that two police officers racially profiled him frisked him, and mocked him during detention. Although <a href="https://www.facebook.com/notes/964739540685101/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">later admitting that he fabricated the incident</a>, he now maintains the <a href="https://johnathansperkins.com/blog/2019/2/24/7-points-to-consider-about-the-jussie-smollett-ordeal-from-someone-whos-been-there" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FBI pressured him to recant his story</a>.

In his role at UCLA, Mr. Perkins describes himself as a “<a href="https://johnathansperkins.com/blog/2019/8/17/g2t7llr5oviffi0gq4do7cqr2bn1k4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">full-time professional practitioner of anti-racism”</a> who is dedicated to dismantling white supremacy. <a href="https://equity.ucla.edu/edi-ucla/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">According to its website, the purpose of The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion</a> itself is based on the <a href="https://www.un.org/en/udhrbook/pdf/udhr_booklet_en_web.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UN Declaration of Human Rights</a>.

The Professor Watchlist Team reached out to Mr. Perkins for comment but have not received a reply by the time of publication.

<a href="https://ccj.fiu.edu/people/faculty/lin-liu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lin Liu</a> is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida International University. According to her biography, Liu’s areas of expertise include “criminological theory, procedural justice, prosecution and sentencing, juvenile justice, and quantitative methodologies.” 
As a co-author of the study, “<a href="https://www.scribd.com/document/608088231/Internalized-racism-to-blame-for-black-prosecutors-treatment-of-black-criminals-study#download" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Is Internalized Racism One More Piece of the Puzzle in Racial Disparities in Prosecution?</a>”, Liu research argues that black prosecutors recommend harsher sentences towards black and Asian defendants because of their own internalized racism. The study interviewed a small sample size.
To reach their conclusion, Liu’s utilizes Internalized Racism Theory (IRT)—an offshoot of critical race studies—<a href="https://scholarworks.sjsu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1000&amp;context=elementary_ed_pub">which scholars define as</a> “the conscious and unconscious acceptance of a racial hierarchy where whites are consistently ranked above People of Color.”
Liu states that internalized racism as “a racist system when a racial group oppressed by racism supports the supremacy and dominance of the dominating group by maintaining or participating in the set of attitudes, behaviors, social structures, and ideologies that undergird the dominating group’s power.” Minority prosecutors, he argues, will adopt the behavior of their racist, white colleagues to advance in their careers. 
To avoid accusations of bias toward their race, Liu claims that black prosecutors will “overcompensate” by leveling harsher sentences on black and Hispanic defendants. This allows them to operate in a field “dominated by white managers and historically racist policies.” 
Liu concludes that after prosecutorial offices hire and promote ethnically diverse prosecutors, they will no longer harbor “negative perceptions of their race and blackness.”

<a href="https://ccj.fiu.edu/people/faculty/besiki-luka-kutateladze/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Besiki Luka Kutateladze</a> is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He is the founder and manager of <a href="https://prosecutorialperformanceindicators.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prosecutorial Performance Indicators</a>, a group advocating prosecutorial reform and the reduction of ethnic disparities in the criminal justice system.

According to Kutateladze’s biography, his areas of expertise include “prosecution, racial justice, and equality and rule of law.” His CV further claims that he’s raised over <a href="https://ccj.fiu.edu/people/faculty/besiki-luka-kutateladze/b-l-kutateladze-cv-20221.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">21 million dollars of research funds</a> from organizations like the <a href="https://www.macfound.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MacArthur Foundation</a>, <a href="https://www.rockefellerfoundation.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the Rockefeller Foundation</a>, and the <a href="https://charleskochfoundation.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charles Koch Foundation</a>.

<a href="https://ccj.fiu.edu/people/faculty/lin-liu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lin Liu</a> is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida International University. According to her biography, Liu’s areas of expertise include “criminological theory, procedural justice, prosecution and sentencing, juvenile justice, and quantitative methodologies.” 

As a co-author of the study, “<a href="https://www.scribd.com/document/608088231/Internalized-racism-to-blame-for-black-prosecutors-treatment-of-black-criminals-study#download" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Is Internalized Racism One More Piece of the Puzzle in Racial Disparities in Prosecution?</a>”, Liu research argues that black prosecutors recommend harsher sentences towards black and Asian defendants because of their own internalized racism. The study interviewed a small sample size.

<a href="https://ethnicstudies.berkeley.edu/people/ramon-grosfoguel-1/">Ramon Grosfoguel</a> is an associate professor of Chicano and Latino Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. According to his university biography, Grosfoguel also specializes in decoloniality and the study of Islamophobia.
Grosfoguel is notable for his vocal opposition to the state of Israel and support for BDS. In an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu1PCTNGgB8&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv">interview</a> with the Islamic Human Rights Commission during Al-Quds Day (an <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/on-quds-day-irans-leader-says-zionism-a-virus-that-must-be-eliminated/">Iranian holiday</a> dedicated to the destruction of Israel) not only did he claim that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians, but that Israel is a threat to peace across the world. Grosfoguel claimed that Israel is infiltrating nations and aligning itself with openly fascist organizations in order to strangle freedom of speech.
Grosfoguel also claims that Jews <a href="https://www.okcir.com/Articles%20VII%202/Grosfoguel-FM.pdf">cynically use the Holocaust</a> to elicit sympathy from the world in order to commit atrocities against Arabs;
“The simplistic identity politics of the Holocaust hegemonic narrative that essentialized Jewish identity as homogenous eternal victims and always intentionally innocent ended with Gaza.”   
“These simplistic and reductionist narratives about the Holocaust and Jewish identity were exploited by the Zionists for the last 60 years to legitimate their fundamentalist Jewish state built upon the practices and methods of settler colonialism against the Palestinians.”

Grosfoguel specializes in anti-colonial rhetoric. Rather than a past vestige, Grosfoguel maintains that colonialism is an ongoing attempt by Western nations—particularly Israel and the United States, to maintain dominance throughout the world. Grosfoguel lectures that the capitalistic, Christian-centered West is able to bleed poorer nations dry to maintain their wealth. He claims that Christianity itself has given rise to genocides around the world, as <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z8ISZolAMw&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv=2m4s">“pre-modern” societies were far more peaceful</a> than modern, Western nations.
To Grosfoguel, the concept of human rights is a Western farce that is used to justify foreign invasions. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7jFaJf-aVE&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv=9m46s">He has claimed</a> that America is a “rogue state” that has murdered upwards of 70 million people.
“Here comes the quintessential rogue state in the world, USA, calling other nations rogue states….This is really amazing, because this country, the last 60 years, has killed more than 70 million people.”  
In the same lecture, he held nothing back when grotesquely claiming that former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7jFaJf-aVE&amp;ab_channel=IHRCtv=7m0s">should have been put to death</a> alongside Sadam Hussein for his crimes as an imperialist:
“So Donald Rumsfield should have been sitting alongside Sadam Hussein and been judged, ok? And been hanged together with him.”  
Grosfoguel travels frequently to speak about his views on decolonization and is renowned among the Left for his views on the subject. In 2018, he was invited to deliver <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pwX2ZQl0C0&amp;t=3173s&amp;ab_channel=LuiginoBracciRoa-Situaci%C3%B3nenVenezuela">opening remarks</a> addressing this topic at a Caracas-based conference hosted by Nicholas Maduro. Grosfoguel was well received at the conference and can be seen warmly greeting the dictator below.

According to <a href="https://www.firstnations.org/stories/luce-fellow-spotlight-x%CC%B1%CA%BCunei-lance-twitchell/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">First Nations Development Institute</a>, “Twitchell has spent half his life working with Tlingit elders to learn, understand, and teach the endangered Tlingit language.” The Tlingits are an indigenous people in the Pacific Northwest of North America.

“In order to begin creating equity in these areas of disparity, Indigenous languages must be revitalized. Places of power and use must be created and language continuity movements must have the support of individuals, families, institutions, and governments. Language is sovereignty. Language is identity. Language is the way to succeed. Language is the way to survive.”

<a href="https://www.sociology.northwestern.edu/people/faculty/core/laura-beth-nielsen.html">Dr. Laura Beth Nielsen</a> is a Professor of Sociology at Northwestern University. She wrote in an op-ed that there are good arguments for restricting free speech rights. She said that racist hate speech has been linked to higher rates of smoking and obesity, for example. Supporting her argument for restricting speech, she pointed out that recently the Supreme Court ruled that a music group (&#8220;The Slants&#8221;, a band made up of Asian-Americans) was allowed to use a derogatory name as their band name, although she did not point out the band was using the name to mock people who use the name in a derogatory fashion.

Jahred Adelman is an <a href="https://www.niu.edu/jadelman/index.shtml" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Associate Professor of Physics at Northern Illinois University (NIU).</a> He has worked for the university since 2014 and currently serves as the Director of Graduate Studies for the Physics Department.
A tip received through the <a href="https://www.yaf.org/news/professor-refusing-to-wear-mask-is-racism-will-be-removed-from-class/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Young America’s Foundation’s</a> Campus Bias Tip Line claimed Professor Adelman is still requiring masks in his classroom. The course syllabus for PHYS 253 states:
“Refusing to mask indoors is a manifestation of ableism and racism, an exercise of individual privilege that tells the most vulnerable that their health and the health of their loved ones does not matter. Thus, masks are required here. They are NOT optional.”

NIU <a href="https://www.niu.edu/protecting-the-pack/communication/messaging/2-26-22-mask-guidance-update-from-provost.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dropped its mask requirements in February 2022</a>, but states on its website that “faculty members can require masks be worn in their teaching spaces.” In an email to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/illinois-professor-says-going-maskless-indoors-manifestation-racism-boot-non-compliant-students" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News Digital</a>, Professor Adelman writes:
“The university allows professors to set mask policy in their classrooms and laboratories. I cannot and would not tell students what to do outside of my class, but if I can do my part to keep everyone a little safer while we learn physics, I will do so. Of particular concern to me is protecting those students of color and those with special health demands and needs, whom studies have shown are disproportionately impacted by the virus.”

Jahred Adelman is an <a href="https://www.niu.edu/jadelman/index.shtml" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Associate Professor of Physics at Northern Illinois University (NIU).</a> He has worked for the university since 2014 and currently serves as the Director of Graduate Studies for the Physics Department.

A tip received through the <a href="https://www.yaf.org/news/professor-refusing-to-wear-mask-is-racism-will-be-removed-from-class/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Young America’s Foundation’s</a> Campus Bias Tip Line claimed Professor Adelman is still requiring masks in his classroom. The course syllabus for PHYS 253 states:
“Refusing to mask indoors is a manifestation of ableism and racism, an exercise of individual privilege that tells the most vulnerable that their health and the health of their loved ones does not matter. Thus, masks are required here. They are NOT optional.”

When a student wanted to write a paper discussing the problems with the wage gap, Train said she could not challenge the wage gap. Even worse, this is not an isolated incident; Train&#8217;s essay instructions prohibited using government data, newspaper articles, or business sources (they are part of the patriarchy according to Train). Instead, &#8220;feminist sources&#8221; are to be utilized.

The Confucius Institute is funded by the Chinese Communist Party and serves as a focal point for the dissemination of propaganda and foreign espionage on American campuses.

Turning Point USA is standing up to the Chinese Communist Party. Through our China on Campus initiative, Turning Point USA is highlighting the infiltration of our educational institutions and halting the Chinese government in its tracks. We will locate, identify, and expose every school and professor that receives funding from the Chinese government. Professor Ott published an op-ed in The New York Times titled, <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20221121133530/https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/20/opinion/donald-trump-twitter-return.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“I Studied Trump’s Twitter Use for Six Years. Prepare for the Worst.”</a> In his article, Ott claims, “&#8230;nothing Mr. Musk has done … is nearly as concerning as his decision to suddenly reinstate former President Donald Trump’s account.”
Ott says he has been studying Trump’s Twitter activity since before he became president, and adds:
“&#8230;I believe that his return would mean the heightened spread of both misinformation and disinformation, the proliferation of degrading and dehumanizing discourse, the further mainstreaming of hate speech and the erosion of democratic norms and institutions.” 
He also believes Trump’s return to Twitter could lead to political violence because he has “demonstrated a consistent willingness to invoke racially and sexually charged rhetoric that contains an implicit call to violence.”
This is not the first time Ott has spoken out against Donald Trump’s Twitter use. In 2019, he published a book titled, <a href="https://www.taylorfrancis.com/books/mono/10.4324/9780429054259/twitter-presidency-brian-ott-greg-dickinson" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“The Twitter Presidency: Donald J. Trump and the Politics of White Rage.”</a> This book looks at Trump’s “rhetorical style,” arguing that it “reflects an aesthetics of white rage, and it is rooted in authoritarianism, narcissism, and demagoguery.”
The abstract of his book describes Trump supporters as people who “feel aggrieved at the decentering of white masculinity” and argues that his rhetorical style “threatens democratic norms, principles, and institutions.”
