According to the DailyMail, <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11418747/Yale-sophomore-student-20-reveals-hid-attempted-suicide-college-raped.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paul Hoffman is the psychologist</a> in charge of student mental health at Yale University. Hoffman is at the center of a story involving Yale’s policies that ban suicidal students from campus. 
DailyMail said, “To return to class, [students] must reapply &#8211; writing an essay, and sending in letters of recommendation…Those who left for mental health reasons also had to demonstrate to Yale that they’d addressed their problems.”
Hoffman’s <a href="https://medicine.yale.edu/profile/paul-hoffman/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">university profile</a> says he’s Chief of Mental Health and Counseling, Voluntary Faculty for Departments and Organizations, and the <a href="https://yalehealth.yale.edu/directory/clinicians/paul-hoffman-phd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Director of Mental Health</a> and Counseling for Yale. No further information is available regarding Hoffman’s employment.
After a student attempted suicide, Hoffman attended an unpublicized Zoom call between the student, her parents, and Yale representatives. <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2022/11/11/yale-suicides-mental-health-withdrawals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Washington Post reported</a>, “In an interview, Hoffman and other Yale officials declined to discuss Yale’s withdrawal policies or specific student cases.”
Washington Post continued, “As soon as the Zoom call with Hoffman ended, hospital staffers handed [the student her cellphone]. She began typing out the email Hoffman had asked her to send.” The email eventually played a role in the student’s expulsion. 
Yale’s <a href="https://yalecollege.yale.edu/policies-procedures/leave-absence-withdrawal-and-reinstatement#:~:text=Any%20student%20may%20voluntarily%20withdraw,activities%2C%20or%20use%20University%20facilities." target="_blank" rel="noopener">mandatory medical withdrawal and reinstatement</a> policy says, 
&#8220;Any student may voluntarily withdraw; Yale College also reserves the right to require students to withdraw in certain cases. Students on withdrawal may not stay in residencies on campus, attend classes, participate in extracurricular activities, or use University facilities. They may come to campus only upon receiving prior permission from their residential college dean or the Dean of Student Affairs.”

Yale University

<a href="https://provost.yale.edu/people/jason-killheffer">Jason Killheffer</a> is the Assistant Provost of Academic Integrity Programs at Yale University. As part of an undercover operation by James O’Keefe and Project Veritas, Killheffer called the Constitution propaganda. He told an undercover journalist “If your freedom of expression impacts other people’s ability to engage actively in the community, to engage in their education or really take full advantage of everything that the university has to offer, then that’s when things cross that line.” In other words, Killheffer believes that being triggered by a Constitution is a valid reason for the university to step in and possibly prevent distribution.

Daniel Martinez HoSang is <a href="https://politicalscience.yale.edu/people/daniel-hosang" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an Associate Professor</a> of Ethnicity, Race &amp; Migration and American Studies at Yale University. He has written many publications and focuses his work on racism and race in politics. He holds strong opinions about conservatives and has both written and lectured several times on the subject.

Dr. HoSang recently wrote a book with <a href="https://professorwatchlist.org/professor/josephlowndes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Joseph Lowndes</a>, who is also on the Professor Watchlist. The book, titled “<a href="https://www.upress.umn.edu/book-division/books/producers-parasites-patriots" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Producers, Parasites, Patriots: Race and the New Right-Wing Politics of Precarity</a>,” discusses white supremacy in conservative politics. In the book, Dr. HoSang accuses conservatives of being racist and participating in “multiracial white supremacy.”

According to Dr. HoSang, white conservatives work to maintain their economic power while also highlighting and praising minority conservatives in an effort to portray the concept that they aren’t racist.

Dr. HoSang has also recently become involved in K-12 learning. He was one of the founders of an organization in Connecticut called the <a href="https://antiracistteaching.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anti-Racist Teaching and Learning Collective</a>, or ARTLC. The organization works with students and teachers alike to push anti-racism, and in turn, Critical Race Theory, in K-12 schools across Connecticut. In an article for the CT Mirror, Dr. HoSang alleges that “if we want to address racism in society at large, we have to address it in policing, and housing, and health care — but we also need to address it in the 3rd grade music classroom, in the 7th grade social studies classroom.”

Dr. HoSang also leads workshops for K-12 teachers that perpetuate the ideals that racism runs deep in education and teaching across all subjects. He helps teachers create curriculum centered on anti-racism and Critical Race Theory.  In the summers of 2020 and 2021, Dr. HoSang was a core faculty member of the AAPF’s Critical Race Theory Summer School lecture series for teachers and scholars. The program’s purpose is to counter conservative and republican efforts to keep Critical Race Theory out of the classroom.

<a href="https://medicine.yale.edu/psychiatry/psychology/profile/christy_olezeski/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Christy Olezeski</a> is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University. She serves as the Director and Co-Founder of the Yale Pediatric Gender Program. 

In a <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/yale-professor-blasted-program-working-3-year-olds-gender-journey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">now-deleted video</a>, Olezeski states, “the Yale gender program, is an interdisciplinary program working with gender-expansive individuals 3-25.” Continuing, she says the program “helps individuals who are questioning their gender identity as transgender or non-binary” and vows to help children on “their gender journey.”

The <a href="https://www.yalemedicine.org/departments/pediatric-gender-program" target="_blank" rel="noopener">program’s website</a> claims that surgeries are only preformed on individuals over the age of 18. The website further alleges, “Social transition is the only medically accepted form of gender-affirming care–and the only form of care we provide–for that age group.” 

Continuing it states, “Some youth are exploring their identity. Others know that how they feel inside does not match up with the gender they were assigned at birth. We help sort through these questions.” 

Yale has since deleted the YouTube video in which Olezeski discusses the gender program. She has also made her personal social media pages private.

<a href="https://americanstudies.yale.edu/people/zareena-grewal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zareena Grewal</a> is an Associate Professor of American Studies at Yale University. Grewal’s faculty profile says her research “focuses on race, gender, religion, nationalism, and transnationalism across a wide spectrum of American Muslim communities.”  

The university profile also describes <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Islam-Foreign-Country-American-Authority/dp/1479800562" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Grewal’s book</a> - “Islam is a Foreign Country: American Muslims and the Global Crisis of Authority”- as “an ethnography of transnational Muslim networks that link US mosques to Islamic movements in the post-colonial Middle East through debates about the reform of Islam.”

<a href="https://nyupress.org/9781479800568/islam-is-a-foreign-country/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NYU Press</a> further promotes the book with questions like “What does it mean to be Muslim and American?” and “Who has the authority to speak for Islam and to lead the stunningly diverse population of American Muslims?”

Grewal was featured in the <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/10/12/radical-yale-professor-faces-calls-to-be-fired-over-comments-on-hamas-attacks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Post</a> after she allegedly defended the Hamas terrorist organization’s attack against Israel in October 2023. According to the Post, “[Grewal] is facing calls to be ousted over her social media posts in which she appeared to justify Hamas terrorists killing Israeli civilians—and called Israel a ‘murderous, genocidal settler state.’”

While Grewal’s <a href="https://twitter.com/ZareenaGrewal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">social media posts</a> remain in a protected and private status, the following screenshot from her account was shared across the internet:

<a href="https://yaledailynews.com/blog/2023/10/12/petition-to-oust-pro-palestine-professor-for-promoting-lies-and-violence-gains-25000-signatures-in-just-over-a-day/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yale News said</a>, “The University defended Grewal’s right to free speech in comments to the News.” The source also quoted Yale University spokesperson Karen Peart saying: “‘Yale is committed to freedom of expression, and the comments posted on Professor Grewal’s personal accounts represent her own views.’”

A <a href="https://www.change.org/p/remove-zareena-grewal-from-the-yale-faculty-for-hate-speech" target="_blank" rel="noopener">petition to terminate</a> Grewal has amassed over 53,000 signatures at the time of this post.

<a href="https://medicine.yale.edu/profile/meredithe-mcnamara/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Meredithe McNamara</a>, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Affiliate Faculty at Yale School of Medicine. Her university profile says she “cares for youth aged 11–25” and is interested in “implementing best practices in the care of youth facing complex trauma and high-risk social situations.” Dr. McNamara’s Yale New Haven Health <a href="https://www.ynhh.org/physicians/meredithe-mcnamara" target="_blank" rel="noopener">profile</a> biography states:
“Adolescent medicine is a one-stop shopping for all of a youth’s health needs, including general care, mental health and coping with trauma…safe sex and birth control, substance use support, and gender-affirming care.”
In a video titled “<a href="https://vimeo.com/839075778" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gender Transition in Young People</a>,” Dr. McNamara is asked how policies that restrict gender transition in minors affect their mental health. She stated:
“They’re very harmful to the mental health of trans and gender-diverse young people. The intrusion of legal interference in standard healthcare is not something that we’re really used to. This is kind of like a brand new and dangerous force that’s infiltrating not only our healthcare but also our social networks…”
She goes on to say that sex reassignment bans are “causing a lot of existential dread” and “deprive young people of life-saving healthcare that affirms who they are.”

Dr. McNamara appeared as a guest on <a href="https://youtu.be/9iHKUJPvjtc">News Nation</a>, with host Chris Cuomo, where she advocated for transitioning children from an early age:

In a <a href="https://ysph.yale.edu/news-article/day-of-silence-q-and-a/">Yale article</a> titled “Day of Silence Q + A with Meredithe McNamara,” Dr. McNamara further claims that “anti-gay legislation” negatively threatens the health and rights of LGBTQ people in five ways: 
“(1) perpetuates stigma and disrupts access to healthcare…
(2) leads to social and economic marginalization…
(3) gives tacit approval for violence and harassment,
 (4) worsens mental health, and 
(5) fuels persecution.”

Vora’s <a href="https://americanstudies.yale.edu/people/kalindi-vora" target="_blank" rel="noopener">areas of research</a> include:

Vora’s “Marxist Thought” class “examines critical engagements between scholarship from postcolonial, feminist and other radical Marxist traditions” while focusing on “philosophical and political debates stemming from issues of race and gender…”

Vora <a href="https://www.kalindivora.com/media" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appeared</a> on The Harmony Show podcast alongside a co-host who identified as a “robosexual/idolator” to discuss Vora’s book “Surrogate Humanity: Race Robots and the Politics of Technological Futures.” She described the concept of the book:
“[T]he whole book is trying to explain how we think that this is a new kind of antiracist and feminist analytic that we can use to think through the way that racial and gender politics come up around labor in technology…
“And we start the book by thinking alongside the historian and black feminist, Saidiya Hartman, who wrote a book called ‘Scenes of Subjection.’ In that book, Hartman talks about the concept of the surrogate…in the context of US chattel slavery.”

In 2017, the University of California, Davis <a href="https://research.ucdavis.edu/fri_director/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> Vora as the Director of its Feminist Research Institute (FRI). The institute exists as a “collaborative, trans-disciplinary hub for exploring how gender, sexuality, race, and other social structures inform the design, execution, and interpretation of research.”

During her time as the Director, Vora led a <a href="https://fri.ucdavis.edu/news/kalindi-vora-and-sarah-mccullough-antiracist-approaches-sts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discussion</a> on “antiracist approaches to STS [science, technology and society].” She also joined a <a href="https://fri.ucdavis.edu/events/mellon-racial-capitalism-speaker-series" target="_blank" rel="noopener">panel discussion</a> to analyze “racial capitalism” and <a href="https://fri.ucdavis.edu/news/director-kalindi-voras-feministfutures-closing-remarks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appeared in an article</a> explaining “abolitionist care.” 

Vora defines abolitionist care as “an antidote to violence that demands a [commitment] to maintaining, repairing and attending survivors of violence while [fighting] capitalism’s anti-rationality [and] the materiality enforced by racial capitalism.”

<a href="https://ysph.yale.edu/profile/megan-ranney/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Megan Ranney</a> is the Dean of Yale University’s School of Public Health. Her research focuses on “developing, testing, and disseminating digital health interventions to prevent violence and related behavioral health problems, as well as on COVID-related risk reduction.” Ranney previously served as the Warren Alpert Endowed Professor of Emergency Medicine at Brown University.

In an <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/17/opinions/public-trust-in-scientists-ranney-jetelina/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">opinion editorial for CNN</a>, Ranney addressed the decline in trust of physicians due to the over-administering of COVID-19 vaccines. Ranney writes:
“[Physicians are] worried about what lies ahead if we don’t turn the ship on trust in science. Imagine if there’s another pandemic, a climate disaster or a biosecurity hazard like anthrax—and we haven’t fixed the trust problem. Think about what might happen if we, as a country, stop funding the science innovation that has allowed our dramatic gains in human health. And what if more Americans refuse to get their kids vaccinated or if our public health institutions are shut down?”
On November 29, 2023, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/gun-crime-expert-blasts-red-state-cherry-picking-by-yale-professor-in-senate-hearing-political-bias" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News featured Ranney</a> in an article titled “Gun crime expert blasts red state ‘cherry-picking’ by Yale professor in Senate hearing: ‘Political bias.’” While testifying before Congress about gun violence, Ranney was suspected of naming certain states based on her political ideology.

When asked why she thought “Chicago has become America’s largest outdoor shooting range?”, Fox said, “Ranney responded by comparing Chicago to three [conservative-led] states and claiming Mississippi, Louisiana and Missouri ‘actually have higher firearm death rates.’”

When further pressed about Chicago’s crime statistics, Ranney stated:
“I think there’s easy access to firearms combined with environmental conditions, lack of great education. There have actually been studies that when you green vacant lots and repair abandoned buildings in urban neighborhoods you see decreases in gunshots and violence as well as stress and depression in the neighborhoods around them.”
<a href="https://president.yale.edu/president/yale-talk/approaching-gun-violence-public-health-issue" target="_blank" rel="noopener">During her talk</a> with Yale University President Peter Salovey, Ranney <a href="https://president.yale.edu/sites/default/files/yaletalkepisode39-ranney-transcript.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded to the question</a> of funding for firearm death research:
“The biggest reason is that from 1996-2020, there was virtually no federal funding…partly because it wasn’t defined as a public health problem, but partly because in 1996 [a representative] from Arkansas…passed the Dickey Amendment, which told the CDC that it was prohibited from using funds to promote or advocate for gun control.”

Solomon’s faculty profile says, “He quickly became a national leader in the science of racial bias by pioneering scientific experiments that exposed how our minds learn to associate [b]lackness and crime implicitly — often with deadly consequences.”

Solomon also co-founded the <a href="https://policingequity.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Center for Policing Equity</a>. According to the “What We Do” page, the organization claims to “promote justice” by:

In 2019, Solomon <a href="https://www.ted.com/talks/dr_phillip_atiba_solomon_how_we_can_make_racism_a_solvable_problem_and_improve_policing/footnotes?referrer=playlist-talks_to_help_you_understand_r&amp;delay=2m&amp;subtitle=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">presented a TEDx Talk</a> titled “How we can make racism a solvable problem — and improve policing.” In his introduction, he said:
“Police chiefs like talking to me because I’m an expert on a problem that feels impossible for them to solve: racism in their profession. Now my expertise comes from being a scientist, who studies how our minds learn to associate blackness and crime and misperceive black children as older than they actually are.”

A 2023 revised version of the <a href="https://bjs.ojp.gov/content/pub/pdf/cbpp18st.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">U.S. Department of Justice document</a> entitled “Contacts Between Police and the Public, 2018–Statistics Tables” shows that out of 61.5 million American residents who had contact with police that “whites (26%) were more likely than blacks (21%), Hispanics (19%), or persons of other races (20%) to experience police contact.” 

Although the statistics show that “a higher percentage of blacks (4%) and Hispanics (3%) than whites (2%) experience threats or use of force,” a <a href="https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/topic-pages/tables/table-43" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2019 FBI report</a> reveals black people commit higher rates of murder/manslaughter and robbery. These are daunting demographics considering black people make up <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/fact-sheet/facts-about-the-us-black-population/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">14% of the total population</a> in the United States (depending on the source of information).

Solomon contributed an <a href="https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/01/abolition-isn-t-a-relic-of-our-past-it-s-the-key-to-revitalising-democracy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">opinion editorial</a> to the World Economic Forum entitled “‘Abolition’ isn’t a relic of our past. It’s the key to revitalizing democracy.” He opened by asking, “Are you an abolitionist?” and lists flashpoints of history where the term was used to fight slavery (e.g. Emancipation Proclamation, Abraham Lincoln). He proceeded to write:

“Abolition, however, is not a relic of history. It is an ongoing movement to rethink the systems that produce inequity and build a society that values the lives of the most vulnerable. It permeates almost every issue that the World Economic Forum includes on its <a href="https://www.weforum.org/events/the-davos-agenda-2021/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2021 Agenda</a>, from COVID-19 to tax policy.”

He further encouraged readers to take on a mindset of “abolition democracy,” the term coined by radical activist and NAACP co-founder, <a href="https://www.thenation.com/article/society/web-du-bois-black-reconstruction/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">W.E.B. Du Bois</a>. Solomon <a href="https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/01/abolition-isn-t-a-relic-of-our-past-it-s-the-key-to-revitalising-democracy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>:
“In my own work as the CEO and Co-Founder of the Center for Policing Equity, that means fundamentally reimagining public safety … It means measuring justice along with crime, and aligning our mechanisms of public safety with the values of the communities — particularly communities that have historically faced discrimination and disinvestment.”
“Charity alone, kindness from those who have benefitted most from institutions that marginalize the vulnerable, cannot lead us to justice. Abolition democracy, the working of rebuilding our systems with equity at their core, just might be able to.”

<a href="https://medicine.yale.edu/profile/amanda-calhoun/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amanda Joy Calhoun</a>, MD, MPH is Chief Resident of the Albert J. Solnit Integrated Adult/Child Psychiatry program at Yale University. According to her faculty profile, Calhoun “specializes in the effects of medical anti-Black racism.”

After the 2024 U.S. General Election, Calhoun is facing criticism after telling Vice President Kamala Harris supporters to disassociate from relatives who voted for President-Elect Donald Trump. She explained her reasoning on the MSNBC show The ReidOut:

“So, if you are going through a situation where you have family members or you have close friends who you know have voted in ways that are against you, that are against your livelihood, then it’s completely fine to not be around those people, and to tell them why.”

“The imagination that went into the post is the imagination that I felt like the world…was not at that moment holding. I still would say, overwhelmingly, it seems like we could use more of that imagination.” 
Mullen—after receiving national criticism—defended her post, saying it was meant to explain how the violence could happen rather than condone Hamas’s actions. She said, “What concerns me the most in the reaction to the post is the confusion between the attempt to understand human beings and ‘the condoning of violence.’ The post did not condone violence.”
On October 17, 2023, Wake Forest University President Susan Wente and Provost Michele Gillespie <a href="https://outreach.wfu.edu/israel-palestine/university-addresses-recent-social-media-posts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released a statement</a> in response to the tweet that reads, in part:
“The posted comments caused significant anxiety and fear for members of our community. We take such matters very seriously. We do not condone or support the views expressed in these posts. As a matter of principle, we affirm the right to individual freedom of expression. And, to be clear: statements that diminish the value and dignity of human life or condone the use of violence are counter to the values inherent in the Pro Humanitate ethos of Wake Forest University.” 
Although the university did not terminate or discipline Mullen for her comments, she believes she was treated unfairly by their statement. She told <a href="https://thewakereport.com/wake-professor-who-justified-terrorism-in-israel-says-the-administration-threw-her-to-the-wolves/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Wake Report</a>, “[The University statement] is like if you watch animal films and you isolate one gazelle, that’s the one that gets eaten. They kind of threw me to the wolves.”
On October 19, 2023, after a week of backlash, Mullen deleted the tweet. Shortly after, she <a href="https://wfuogb.com/21837/news/breaking-laura-mullen-resigns/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced she was resigning</a> for “personal reasons.” Mullen plans to continue teaching her classes for the Fall 2023 semester but said she would not be returning in Spring 2024.

<a href="https://divinity.wfu.edu/academics/faculty/jonathan-l-walton/">Dr. Jonathan L. Walton</a>, Dean of the School of Divinity at Wake Forest University and formerly of Harvard University, called the NRA a "domestic terrorist organization". In a sermon on campus after the Las Vegas mass shooting, Walton, who has a Ph.D. in religion and society from Princeton, blamed "Our cultural anxiety, toxic masculinity, and racial, religious, and ethnic bigotries [for] eating away at the soul of this nation," Walton later calls President Donald Trump a "Madman" who "embodies the worst aspects of our country's cultural disease."

Mao&#8217;s campaign known as the “Great Leap Forward” <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">caused an estimated 40 million to die from starvation and exhaustion in labor camps alone</a>.
Despite his human rights atrocities, Dr. Bair praises Mao’s policies in lectures hosted on his <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Youtube page</a>. In a video titled “Economic History and Development of Maoist China,” Dr. Bair <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lauds the Great Leap Forward as a “great economic feat</a>.” He claims that Mao’s policies actually improved the quality of life in China. At one point, he makes the extraordinary claim that no evidence exists to implicate Mao in the death of millions.

Dr. Bair’s Youtube page hosts additional lectures in which he further defends Stalin and the Soviet Union. In a video titled “Introduction to Political Economy: Economic History of the USSR”, Dr. Bair claims that <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">socialism in the USSR improved the quality of life “in every way imaginable.</a>”

At one point, he claims the Soviets never had to rely on slave labor to achieve this–which Bair accuses other free-market, Western nations of doing.
Despite Dr. Bair’s claim, forced labor was integral to the existence of the Soviet Union. At one point, as much as <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">15 percent of the Soviet population was imprisoned</a> in “gulags” and branded as “class enemies.” Prisoners were exploited as slave labor and were often worked to death in sub-zero, in-humane conditions. In one of the most notorious cases, <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tens of thousands died building the White-Sea Canal</a>—in the middle of the Russian winter—only for it to be largely impassable.

<a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mao Zedong</a>—who chaired the Chinese Communist Party from 1935 until his death in 1976—is widely considered one of the deadliest heads of state in history. <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> An estimated 65 million Chinese perished from his regime</a>. Mao's campaign known as the “Great Leap Forward” <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">caused an estimated 40 million to die from starvation and exhaustion in labor camps alone</a>.

Despite his human rights atrocities, Dr. Bair praises Mao’s policies in lectures hosted on his <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Youtube page</a>. In a video titled “Economic History and Development of Maoist China,” Dr. Bair <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lauds the Great Leap Forward as a “great economic feat</a>.” He claims that Mao’s policies actually improved the quality of life in China. At one point, he makes the extraordinary claim that no evidence exists to implicate Mao in the death of millions.

Dr. Bair’s Youtube page hosts additional lectures in which he further defends Stalin and the Soviet Union. In a video titled “Introduction to Political Economy: Economic History of the USSR”, Dr. Bair claims that <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">socialism in the USSR improved the quality of life “in every way imaginable.</a>”

At one point, he claims the Soviets never had to rely on slave labor to achieve this–which Bair accuses other free-market, Western nations of doing.

Despite Dr. Bair’s claim, forced labor was integral to the existence of the Soviet Union. At one point, as much as <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">15 percent of the Soviet population was imprisoned</a> in “gulags” and branded as “class enemies.” Prisoners were exploited as slave labor and were often worked to death in sub-zero, in-humane conditions. In one of the most notorious cases, <a href="https://twitter.com/asatarbair/status/1408952378691256320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tens of thousands died building the White-Sea Canal</a>—in the middle of the Russian winter—only for it to be largely impassable.

In July 2021, McKevitt asked where he could donate to the hypothetical senate campaign of Rand Paul’s neighbor. The now-deleted tweet references Rene Boucher, who attacked the Senator while he was mowing his yard in November 2017. Paul <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sen-rand-paul-awarded-over-580g-after-he-was-attacked-by-neighbor" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suffered six broken ribs and internal bleeding</a> from the incident and was awarded $580,000 in damages.

<a href="https://www.northeastern.edu/law/faculty/directory/williams-p.html">Patricia Williams </a>is a Professor of Law and Humanities at Northeastern University. Williams, in an editorial for The Nation, wrote &#8221; the history of the right to bear arms is shaped by exclusionary privilege based on race and gender. It is almost exclusively white men who may “reasonably” carry firearms to protests outside Target or political conventions&#8221;, although still 20% of Hispanic and African-American homes own guns according to Pew research.

Dr. <a href="https://www.northeastern.edu/graduate/bio/denis-sullivan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Denis Sullivan</a> is a Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at <a href="https://www.northeastern.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northeastern University</a> in Boston, Massachusetts. He additionally serves as the co-Director of the <a href="https://cssh.northeastern.edu/internationalcenter/middle-east/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Middle East Center</a>, a branch of <a href="https://cssh.northeastern.edu/internationalcenter/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northeastern’s International Center</a>. Dr. Sullivan is known for including anti-Israel elements into his curriculum, and for his defense of the terrorist organization Hamas.

Founded as the offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Gaza Strip, Hamas is an Islamist terrorist organization. The organization’s <a href="https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">charter explicitly calls for the destruction of Israel and the death of all Jews</a>.

The group has ruled the Gaza strip since 2005 and explicitly targets Israeli civilians while using its own <a href="https://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/183750" target="_blank" rel="noopener">citizens as human shields during military operations</a>. <a href="https://legalinsurrection.com/2019/05/prelude-to-war-palestinian-terrorists-fire-hundreds-of-rockets-at-israel-from-and-to-civilian-areas/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hamas regularly fires rockets</a> and <a href="https://palwatch.org/page/18217" target="_blank" rel="noopener">directs suicide bombers into crowded areas</a>. The organization is <a href="https://www.fdd.org/in_the_news/2021/05/26/faq-hamas/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responsible for the death of thousands of Israelis and at least 25 Americans</a>.

In a lecture dated to 2009, Denis Sullivan can be heard <a href="https://vimeo.com/127604352" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trivializing Hamas atrocities during a lecture about foreign relations with Israel</a>. In the clip, captured by the organization <a href="https://canarymission.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Canary Mission</a>, Dr. Sullivan begrudgingly admits that Hamas is a terrorist organization, but proceeds to praise them for having “great healthcare and kindergartens."

Further in the same lecture, while discussing peace negotiations, Dr. Sullivan claims that it’s irrelevant that Hamas will not recognize the right of Israel to exist.

According to reports from the group <a href="https://www.peaceandtolerance.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Americans for Peace and Tolerance (APT)</a>, Dr. Sullivan <a href="https://www.peaceandtolerance.org/2014/02/26/northeastern-universitys-islamists/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">regularly assigns extreme anti-Israel materials in his class</a>. One text is, “<a href="https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/233020/the-holocaust-industry-by-norman-g-finkelstein/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Holocaust Industry</a>,” by author and former professor, Norman Finkelstein. The book alleges that Israel uses the Holocaust to shield itself from criticism when committing war crimes on par with that of the Nazis.

Through its deployment, one of the world’s most formidable military powers, with a horrendous human rights record, has cast itself as a “victim” state, and the most successful ethnic group in the US has likewise acquired victim status.” - Norman Finkelstein, The Holocaust Industry

Another assigned text is titled, “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Ethnic-Cleansing-Palestine-Ilan-Pappe/dp/1851685553" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine</a>'' by IIan Pappe. The book falsely charges Israel with committing mass genocide and ethnic cleansing of the region’s Arabs during the nation’s founding.

Dr. Sullivan has directed numerous university-sponsored trips to introduce students to meet Syrian and Egyptian officials. As APT has documented, his students met with at least one Egyptian minister <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9mmOilcDA4&amp;ab_channel=apeacet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">who believes in the antisemitic conspiracy that Jews manipulate and control the world economy</a>.

In addition to his duties in the Middle East Center, his biography lists him as a member of the organization, “Human Rights Watch.” The group has been <a href="https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/04/experts-slam-human-rights-watch-for-biased-and-inaccurate-report-accusing-israel-of-apartheid/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused by a number of watchdog organizations of publishing slanted and falsified information about Israel</a>. The organization has become so maligned, that its founder, Robert Bernstein, once lambasted his organization for <a href="https://archive.ph/b1E3q" target="_blank" rel="noopener">focusing its efforts solely on Israel while ignoring actual authoritarian regimes</a>.

<a href="https://cssh.northeastern.edu/faculty/shahid-alam/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Shahid Alam</a> is a professor of economics at <a href="https://www.northeastern.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northeastern University</a> in Boston, Massachusetts. After immigrating to the United States from Pakistan, Dr. Alam began working for Northeastern in 1988 where he serves as the academic advisor for the group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).

Infamous for sympathy towards Islamic terrorism in his work, Dr. Alam has authored pieces justifying suicide bombers, compared the 9/11 highjackers to America’s founding fathers, and repeated antisemitic libels while supporting the BDS movement.

BDS—which stands for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions—is an international movement with a singular focus on boycotting, divesting, and levying sanctions against the world’s sole Jewish state. The movement’s co-founder—Omar Barghouti has admitted that once <a href="https://www.israellycool.com/2020/06/02/watch-bds-co-founder-omar-barghouti-admits-their-goal-is-destruction-of-israel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">these planks are implemented, they will destroy Israel</a>.

In a piece for the site, CounterPunch, Dr. Alam pens a <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2002/07/29/the-academic-boycott-of-israel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">full-throated defense of BDS</a> as a necessary tactic to confront Israel. While characterizing the Jewish state as not a “normal country,” he falsely accuses Israel of constructing an “apartheid state” to commit genocide against Arabs.

Dr. Alam uses his accusation as justification for <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2002/07/29/the-academic-boycott-of-israel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">then-ongoing waves of suicide bombers in Israel</a>, writing, “dispossession is implemented by force-unless this project is aided by pathogens; and, it follows, that resistance to the colonizer must be violent.”

An “intifada”—Arabic for “uprising”—refers to a series of Palestinian insurrections within Israel. From 2000-2005, the Second Intifada—known as the <a href="https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/background-and-overview-of-al-aqsa-intifada" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Al-Aqsa Intifada</a>,”—claimed over 1,100 lives. During this period, terrorist groups like Hamas deployed <a href="https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/comprehensive-listing-of-terrorism-victims-in-israel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suicide bombers and gunmen to target civilians in crowded areas to maximize casualties</a>.

In a separate piece, Dr. Alam again praises suicide bombers, <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2002/04/03/thomas-friedman-s-lies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">writing that they seek to become martyrs in order to bring “honor” to their nation:</a>

“The Oxford English dictionary defines a suicide as “one who dies by his own hand.” This definition is clearly inadequate. In the absence of a motive, we cannot distinguish between (i) a person who takes his life because he wants to die and (ii) a person who takes his life because this will save her soul-or her honor, her family, her friends, her community, or her country. The first suggests suicide; the latter is ordinarily regarded as a martyr. Judge for yourself then whether the Palestinians are suicides or martyrs.” 

This is not a solitary instance of which Dr. Alam has sought to justify Islamic terrorism. In an article from 2004, he <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2004/12/29/seeking-parallels/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">compared the 9/11 hijackers to America’s Founding Fathers</a>. 

“The colonists had a dream worth pursuing. They were prepared to die for this dream ­and to kill. They did: and they won…On September 11, 2001, nineteen Arab hijackers too demonstrated their willingness to die — and to kill — for what they believed was their dream. They died — so they thought — because they wanted their people to live, free and in dignity.” 

The prior year, Dr. Alam wrote that <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2003/01/02/why-9-11-and-why-now/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the attacks themselves were not in any way unique, and in fact, paled in comparison to the atrocities committed by the United States</a>.

“[The 9/11]  attacks pales into insignificance when compared to the worst terrorist acts perpetrated by states, not excluding United States, over the past five-hundred years.”

In further articles, Dr. Alam depicts Jews in explicit, antisemitic terms. He accuses Jews of using their religion to justify genocide, manipulating the media, possessing dual loyalty, citing the Holocaust for sympathy, and directing America to launch foreign wars on Israel’s behalf:

- One article for CounterPunch decries <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2003/04/05/israelization-of-the-united-states/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Jewish money” swaying elections on behalf of Israel.</a>

- Another piece <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2009/08/21/zionism-an-quot-abnormal-quot-nationalism/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accuses Jews of seeking to “compensate” for the absence of a messiah</a> by launching a colonial, genocidal project in Palestine with the assistance of American Christians.

- One accuses <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2010/12/07/unvarnished-truths-about-the-us-and-israel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jewish organizations of policing and directing the media to proliferate “Israeli lies.”</a>

- Dr. Alam’s book, <a href="https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0230614841/thewisdomfund?pldnSite=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Israeli Exceptionalism</a>, accuses <a href="https://electronicintifada.net/content/zionisms-destabilizing-force-israeli-exceptionalism-reviewed/3569" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jews and Zionists of partnering with the Nazis</a> prior to World War 2.

- The same book describes <a href="http://www.twf.org/News/Y2010/0623-Review.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">neoconservatives as a “mostly Jewish elite” who shape America’s institutions for Israel’s benefit</a>.

- Yet another article accuses <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2003/02/19/israel-s-proxy-war/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">American Jews and Israel of directing the United States to invade Iraq</a> to distract the world from their alleged genocide of the Palestinians.

- Dr. Alam goes so far as to accuse <a href="https://www.counterpunch.org/2002/04/18/a-colonizing-project-built-on-lies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jews of weaponizing the Holocaust</a> to elicit sympathy and distract the world from their own human rights abuses.

- In an op-ed for the Egyptian state-owned newspaper Al-Ahram, Dr. Alam <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20070601183749/http://weekly.ahram.org.eg/2007/846/op5.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accuses Jews of using their Judaism—or what he mocks as their “chosenness” by God—to excuse racism and ethnically cleanse Palestine</a>.

Rather than hide or justify his views, Dr. Alam seems delighted by accusations of antisemitism. In a leaked lecture, Dr. Alam can be heard advising students to wear allegations of antisemitism “as a badge of honor.”

Under his direction, the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at Northeastern is notorious on campus for demonizing Israel and glorifying terrorism. One event even <a href="https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/01/northeastern-u-students-for-justice-in-palestine-promotes-terrorist-pflp-doubles-down-after-backlash/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">celebrated the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a US-designated terror group</a>. The group itself was <a href="https://legalinsurrection.com/2014/03/anti-israel-student-group-suspended-at-northeastern-for-vandalism-intimidation-disruption/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suspended by the University for the 2014 academic year for repeated instances of intimidation, vandalism, and disrupting pro-Israel events</a> on campus.

<a href="https://cssh.northeastern.edu/faculty/james-fox/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">James Alan Fox</a> is the Lipman Family Professor of Criminology, Law, and Public Policy at Northeastern University. 

According to his university profile, Fox “has published 18 books, dozens of journal and magazine articles, and hundreds of freelance columns in newspapers around the country, primarily in the areas of mass murder, serial murder youth crime, school and campus violence, workplace violence, and capital punishment.”

Fox was featured in a <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20240714040128/https:/news.northeastern.edu/2024/07/13/donald-trump-shooting-rally/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northeastern News Service</a> article about the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump. Much of Fox’s commentary emphasized gun control measures. The professor implied how the lack of such measures may be the cause of the attempt. According to <a href="https://www.campusreform.org/article/northeastern-university-prof-said-trump-assassination-attempt-help-republicans-reconsider-gun-control/25893" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Campus Reform</a>, the following quote from Fox was removed from the article:

“The Republican party has been rather reluctant to back sensible gun control measures. Their party leader has been shot. Fortunately, he didn’t get mortally wounded, but it certainly should help them reconsider some of their stances on sensible gun safety measures.” 
Fox even made the following statement to Campus Reform, echoing the statements he previously made on gun control measures. He alluded to the relevance of <a href="https://www.atf.gov/rules-and-regulations/brady-law" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brady Law</a>, a gun control measure enacted after the assassination attempt on a newly elected President Ronald Reagan in 1981: 
“As to whether it is an appropriate issue to raise, the assassination attempt on Reagan and the severe injury to his aide James Brady eventually inspired a significant gun control measure (Brady Law). Besides, the assassination attempt on Trump was a shooting, and so raising the issue of gun control is clearly relevant. Republicans are entrenched in their pro-gun stance. I would welcome but not expect some movement.”

<a href="https://www.northeastern.edu/law/faculty/directory/williams-p.html">Patricia Williams </a>is a Professor of Law and Humanities at Northeastern University. Williams, in an editorial for The Nation, wrote " the history of the right to bear arms is shaped by exclusionary privilege based on race and gender. It is almost exclusively white men who may “reasonably” carry firearms to protests outside Target or political conventions", although still 20% of Hispanic and African-American homes own guns according to Pew research.

MingQing Xiao is an <a href="https://math.siu.edu/faculty-staff/faculty/xiao.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">applied math professor at Southern Illinois University.</a> He specializes in partial differential equations, control theory, dynamical systems, and computational science.
On April 21, 2021, the Department of Justice <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/mathematics-professor-and-university-researcher-indicted-grant-fraud" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced that a federal grand jury had returned an indictment</a> charging the professor with two counts of wire fraud and one count of making a false statement. According to the press release:
“Xiao allegedly applied for and received National Science Foundation (NSF) grant funds for a project set to run from 2019 to 2022 without informing NSF about another, overlapping grant he had already received from the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, China.” 
Additionally:
“Xiao also allegedly failed to inform NSF that he was on the payroll of Shenzhen University, a public university in Guangdong Province, and that he had already committed to teaching and conducting research at Shenzhen University from 2018 to 2023.” 
The release also states that NSF questioned Xiao about any current or pending funding from “worldwide sources” and the indictment accuses him of falsely reporting to NSF that he had nothing else to disclose.
In October 2021, <a href="https://thesouthern.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/feds-pin-additional-charges-on-siu-math-professor-accused-of-scheming-for-grant-dollars/article_ce9c58d4-94a9-5f11-9d87-1db1b8c44782.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">additional charges were levied against Professor Xiao</a>, including tax fraud and failure to disclose a foreign bank account.
On May 5, 2022, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/illinois-professor-convicted-failing-report-chinese-bank-account-2022-05-05/">Reuters</a> reported that Xiao was convicted of failing to disclose a Chinese bank account on his 2017 to 2019 tax returns but was cleared of concealing his ties to China while seeking federal grant funding. The jury acquitted Xiao of making a false statement in connection with a NSF grant proposal and U.S. Judge Staci Yandle “found prosecutors failed to prove two related wire fraud charges.”
In September 2022, Professor Xiao was <a href="https://www.science.org/content/article/u-s-math-professor-gets-probation-not-prison-china-initiative-case" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sentenced to 1 year of probation and given a $600 fine.</a> Xiao has been on paid administrative leave from SIUC since his indictment in April 2021. As of publication, he is still on leave.

Crank has authored multiple publications and edited the book “<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Approaches-Gone-Southern-Literary-Studies/dp/0807161586?asin=B07W99BXR7&amp;revisionId=db568cd4&amp;format=1&amp;depth=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Approaches to Gone with the Wind</a>.” The publisher—who stated that “Racial and sexual identity form a cornerstone for the collection…”—gave examples of how the authors “[reframe] traditional racial identities” and “[explore] transgressive sexuality in the film version.” In the introduction, Crank wrote that “it was time for a collection that would attempt to breathe fresh air into a novel and film that had quickly become a problem in the American academy.”

“[Crank], 45, is charged with two counts of possession of obscene material containing visual depictions of persons under the age of 17 involved in obscene acts. University officials released this statement: ‘The accused individual was immediately removed from campus and all facilities. We will continue to support law enforcement’s investigations.’”
Alabama Local News continued:
“The arrest was made by the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force…Authorities said the warrants against Crank were the result of an ongoing investigation. Devices seized during the [home] search could lead to additional charges…Crank is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Bond will be later set by a judge.”
While Crank’s faculty profile page is <a href="https://english.ua.edu/people/james-a-crank/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">no longer available</a>, the university has not released a statement detailing his employment status.

<a href="https://people.clas.ufl.edu/rabreu26/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Roberto L. Abreu</a> is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida. According to his biography and the description of his organization, the “<a href="https://cheverelab.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chevere Lab</a>, Abreu&#8217;s research “explores ways in which marginalized communities resist systemic oppression” The Lab even offers <a href="https://cheverelab.com/chvere-resources" target="_blank" rel="noopener">resources for parents of LGBT children</a>, namely how they can evade bans on gender transitions of minors.
In an article for <a href="https://theconversation.com/transgender-people-of-color-face-unique-challenges-as-gender-discrimination-and-racism-intersect-179515" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Conversation,</a> Abreu alleges that transgender people were revered in cultures around the world. Europeans, he writes, introduced a gender binary to invalidate trans people and force them into “white social norms.” Abreu blames colonial oppression, Christianity, and “anti-blackness” for modern bigotry against trans people. 
“&#8230;European colonizers began forcing indigenous people to follow white social norms. These include anti-Blackness, Christianity and [SIC] a gender binary that reduced gender to just man and woman.” 
Abreu further lists racism, xenophobia, and cisnormativity as several of the many types of oppression that trans people face. He attacks “cisgender” doctors for “deadnaming” patients and attempting to cure trans people based on what they believe bodies should look like. 
He concludes that trans people should take pride in their gender and ethnic identity in the face of racism, sexism, and “transmisogynoir,” or the intersection of anti-Black racism, cissexism and sexism. Cisgender people, he continues, should “leverage [their] privilege to support trans people of color.”
Abreu believes the most influential support a trans child can receive comes from school teachers and staff. Writing in the <a href="https://www.researchgate.net/publication/335420691_Supporting_Transgender_Students_School_Counselors%27_Preparedness_Training_Efforts_and_Necessary_Support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Journal of LGBT Youth</a>, Abreu advocates for counselors to become the focal point to support trans kids in the light of “oppressive policies and laws (that) significantly impact the psychological and academic well-being of transgender students in the United States.” 
Trans oppression is a common theme throughout Abreu’s work, with a particular focus on transgender children. He often condemns conservative states for passing legislation he claims will “suffocate” trans children.

In a separate paper—titled, “<a href="https://www.researchgate.net/publication/317633080_Myths_and_Misconceptions_About_LGBTQ_Youth_School_Counselors%27_Role_in_Advocacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Myths and Misconceptions About LGBTQ Youth</a>”— Abreu writes that counselors must become “active advocates” for gay and transgender children. The paper attempts to debunk “myths” held by parents and students that “harm” LGBTQ students.  
One “myth” Abreu lists is the idea that “Parents must be informed of their child’s sexual and gender identity.” He encourages school employees to withhold information about students, as “revealing their sexual and/or gender identity to parents might have detrimental effects for the youth.” 
Abreu further disputes that gender-neutral bathrooms are unsafe. He claims that gender-specific bathrooms infringe on the rights of “gender expansive” students, and “no scientific data supports the claim that trans-inclusive or gender-inclusive facilities pose a threat or are unsafe to any particular individual.”

Dr. <a href="https://people.clas.ufl.edu/polssdw/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sharon D. Wright Austin</a> is a Professor of Political Science at the <a href="https://www.ufl.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">University of Florida. </a>

As listed in her university profile, Dr. Austin’s research focuses on African-American political behavior, African-American political activism, and African-American women’s political behavior.  

During an interview, Dr. Austin <a href="https://www.usnews.com/news/the-report/articles/2022-10-14/how-race-entered-the-midterms-in-the-guise-of-crime" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused conservatives of using “coded language” to appeal to bigoted voting blocks</a>:

"I think it's really just coded language, and it's not uncommon…While in the mid-20th century, candidates would openly use racial epithets, that changed later in the century, when GOP candidates would talk about busing and "states' rights.””

Her comments appeared in a US News and World Report article titled, “When ‘Crime’ is Code for ‘Race’.” She further claimed that “crime” and “socialism” are dog whistles for racists. 

In another article, Dr. Austin condemns the United States for <a href="https://www.governing.com/now/what-does-the-united-states-have-against-haitian-refugees" target="_blank" rel="noopener">targeting Haitian migrants with “anti-black racism.”</a> 

Noting that immigrants from Haiti are less likely to be granted political asylum than immigrants from other countries, Dr. Austin attributes this disparity to racism. She further accuses border patrol agents of beating Haitian migrants with rods: 

“These immigration issues alone don’t prove the existence of anti-black racism and we know that it is necessary to secure the border, but we have to ask ourselves two questions. Why is the number of Haitian migrants allowed to enter this country so much smaller than that of other nationalities? And when securing the border, can we really allow Haitians, or anyone else, to be beaten with rods by angry men on horseback?”

Although the <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/07/08/border-agents-falsely-accused-of-whipping-migrants-punishment/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">incident was later determined to be a hoax</a>, the story had already circulated widely among progressive activists. 

In addition to her professorial duties, Dr. Austin is a co-author of the upcoming book <a href="https://global.oup.com/academic/product/beyond-racial-capitalism-9780192868336?cc=us&amp;lang=en&amp;#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Beyond Racial Capitalism.”</a> According to the description, that book aims to highlight “anti-racist” cooperatives developed by the African diaspora.

<a href="https://people.clas.ufl.edu/rabreu26/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Roberto L. Abreu</a> is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida. According to his biography and the description of his organization, the “<a href="https://cheverelab.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chevere Lab</a>, Abreu's research “explores ways in which marginalized communities resist systemic oppression” The Lab even offers <a href="https://cheverelab.com/chvere-resources" target="_blank" rel="noopener">resources for parents of LGBT children</a>, namely how they can evade bans on gender transitions of minors.

In an article for <a href="https://theconversation.com/transgender-people-of-color-face-unique-challenges-as-gender-discrimination-and-racism-intersect-179515" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Conversation,</a> Abreu alleges that transgender people were revered in cultures around the world. Europeans, he writes, introduced a gender binary to invalidate trans people and force them into “white social norms.” Abreu blames colonial oppression, Christianity, and “anti-blackness” for modern bigotry against trans people. 

“...European colonizers began forcing indigenous people to follow white social norms. These include anti-Blackness, Christianity and [SIC] a gender binary that reduced gender to just man and woman.” 

Abreu further lists racism, xenophobia, and cisnormativity as several of the many types of oppression that trans people face. He attacks “cisgender” doctors for “deadnaming” patients and attempting to cure trans people based on what they believe bodies should look like. 

He concludes that trans people should take pride in their gender and ethnic identity in the face of racism, sexism, and “transmisogynoir,” or the intersection of anti-Black racism, cissexism and sexism. Cisgender people, he continues, should “leverage [their] privilege to support trans people of color.”

Abreu believes the most influential support a trans child can receive comes from school teachers and staff. Writing in the <a href="https://www.researchgate.net/publication/335420691_Supporting_Transgender_Students_School_Counselors%27_Preparedness_Training_Efforts_and_Necessary_Support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Journal of LGBT Youth</a>, Abreu advocates for counselors to become the focal point to support trans kids in the light of “oppressive policies and laws (that) significantly impact the psychological and academic well-being of transgender students in the United States.” 

Trans oppression is a common theme throughout Abreu’s work, with a particular focus on transgender children. He often condemns conservative states for passing legislation he claims will “suffocate” trans children.

<a href="https://www.angeladecarlis.com/_files/ugd/08fd76_4f6be4a3869e473b8843ae34b2352a1c.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Angela DeCarlis</a> serves as an Art Instructor at the University of Florida as well as “Founder &amp; Lead Artist” in the group, “<a href="https://www.figureondiversity.com/about" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Figure on Diversity.</a>”

DeCarlis—who <a href="https://remix.berklee.edu/able-assembly-conference/64/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">describes</a> herself as a “white, queer, invisibly disabled, cis-passing person in a straight-passing relationship,” and possessing ”thin privilege”—hosts art workshops that feature fat, disabled, transgender, and nude models. 

DeCarlis aims to displace what she describes as universities’ tendency to only hire “<a href="https://www.wbur.org/news/2019/07/26/diversity-figure-drawing-modeling" target="_blank" rel="noopener">white, thin, able-bodied models</a>.” She further attacked the “hyper-idealized, male, Greco-Roman forms” used in art for allegedly <a href="https://remix.berklee.edu/able-assembly-conference/64/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">perpetuating</a> “harmful ideas” about bodies. 

In her most recent exhibit, DeCarlis <a href="https://www.alligator.org/article/2023/06/figure-on-diversity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">describes</a> her preferred models as “people of color, fat, disabled, members of the LGBTQ community,” or otherwise “oppressed:” 
“It’s really important for the models who have been oppressed on the basis of their appearance to have the opportunity to be seen.”

DeCarlis features other models on her <a href="https://www.angeladecarlis.com/figureondiversity">personal site</a>. Many are transgender, nude, and have undergone visible mastectomies, phalloplasties, and vaginoplasties. 

She has previously described her work in a post on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpkw4pip4m9/">Instagram</a> (see image below) as based in critical race theory and influenced by “Black, BIPOC, Queer, Fat, Crip/Disabled scholars.”

DeCarlis’ subsequent exhibit on June 11th, 2023 will recruit transgender-identifying teenagers and other “gender-diverse” persons under 18. Attendees will spend three days observing and drawing transgender and other “gender-expansive models.”

DeCarlis hopes the workshop will give “transgender” youth the chance to be “proud” of their bodies and learn from other adults who have transitioned. 
“[Age] 16 to 24 is a really vulnerable time—your body is going through a lot of changes…And for trans youth, these changes can be really traumatizing.”

<a href="https://afam.clas.ufl.edu/directory/dr-julia-m-mollenthiel/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Julia Mollenthiel</a> is an Assistant Professor in the African American Studies Program at the University of Florida. She teaches several courses including, “Black Feminist Theory,” “Afro-Futurism,” and “Black Horror, White Terror.”

The <a href="https://www.scribd.com/document/642780162/Black-Horror-White-Terror-syllabus-at-the-University-of-Florida" target="_blank" rel="noopener">course syllabus</a> for “Black Horror, White Terror” says:
“We will probe the genre of horror and its trends with a particular focus on representations of racial Otherness and racism. We will also consider the relationship between horror and Black literary modes and traditions focusing on key moments that depict fears of Blackness and/or the terror associated with being Black in America. This course will study the works of Black authors and producers as a way to explore racial identity and oppression.” 
Students in the course are <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12062269/Now-FRANKENSTEIN-racist-University-Florida-claims-monster-parallels-racial-stereotypes.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">required to read</a> classic works such as “Frankenstein” and Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Murders in the Rue Morgue” and study how they have “affected racialized discourse.” One required reading—”<a href="https://www.jstor.org/stable/44321873" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Power and Horror of Whiteness</a>”—claims Poe was “haunted” by black people based on his fiction writings.

Another required reading is an academic article titled “<a href="https://www.jstor.org/stable/651092" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Frankenstein’s Monster and Images of Race in Nineteenth-Century Britain</a>.” <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/university-florida-offers-class-examining-white-terror-frankenstein-other-classic-texts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a> writes that the article offers a “racial reading” of Frankenstein through “the Marxist and the feminist location of the novel in the social and psychological context of the times.” The article's thesis claims “Shelley’s portrayal of her monster drew upon … contemporary attitudes towards non-whites.”

The course has the same name as Mollenthiel’s <a href="https://scholarship.miami.edu/esploro/outputs/doctoral/Black-Horror-White-Terror/991031606757602976#files_and_links" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dissertation</a>, where she writes:
“My concept of horrifying whiteness offers an avenue for Black resistance by disrupting the centuries-old whiteness as innocence and blackness as culpability narrative; and my concept of crippling fear versus empowering fear offers an opportunity to prove the advantages/disadvantages of Black fear.” 
Mollenthiel’s syllabus states that “No lesson is intended to espouse, promote, advance, inculcate, or compel a particular feeling, perception, viewpoint, or belief.” <a href="https://www.thecollegefix.com/u-florida-class-examines-white-terror-in-frankenstein-and-other-classics/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The College Fix</a> noted that this could be in reference to the state’s pending Stop WOKE Act, which regulates what content cannot be taught in public universities.

Mrs. <a href="https://cedarpark.beaverton.k12.or.us/connect/staff-directory?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;const_search_group_ids=224&amp;const_search_role_ids=1&amp;const_search_keyword=Watkins+">Katherine Watkins</a> is a middle school Humanities teacher at Cedar Park Middle School in Beaverton, Oregon. During a district-wide summit, Mrs. Watkins threatened to fire teachers who refuse to adopt “antiracist” teaching methods.

The term “antiracist” is a phrase frequently used by Critical Race Theorists. Critical Theory, or Critical Race Theory, is an <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2012/03/11/what-is-critical-race-theory/">intellectual branch of Marxism that alleges American society and all of its founding institutions are infected with and perpetuate white supremacy</a>. Furthermore, proponents of Critical Race Theory believe that people should take proactive steps to dismantle these institutions in the name of equity, which is also referred to as being “anti-racist.” Some Critical Race Theorists, such as Nikole Hannah-Jones,<a href="https://reason.com/2020/09/23/1619-project-nikole-hannah-jones-1776-founding-race-new-york-times/"> claim</a> that America’s real founding was in 1619 when the first slave arrived in North America, rather than 1776 when the American colonies declared independence from Britain.
In a Zoom meeting captured by Parents Defending Education (PDE), Mrs. Watkins <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_PIlGgJSXI&amp;t=2s&amp;ab_channel=ParentsDefendingEducation">warned that other teachers</a> present on the call will become obsolete in their respective jobs if they do not become antiracist educators.
“I’m going to something that is not nice and not sweet, but it’s true. If you’re not evolving into an antiracist educator, you’re making yourself obsolete in this field of profession. Our district is only getting browner and browner with our children. Obviously, you can’t change your melanin, alright, but you can change your mind so that you can actually function in a district that is full of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) children.”
Mrs. Watkins suggests that teachers who do not become antiracists must be fired for causing “trauma” to their students.
“So if you’re being resistant, I understand that, but eventually you’re going to have to come to the light. Because if you’re going to come with those old views of colonialism, it&#8217;s going to lead to being fired, because you’re going to be doing damage to our children—trauma.”
Mrs. Watkins even compares teachers who refuse to adopt her prescribed tactics to sexual predators.
“So, as we fire the teachers who sexually abuse our children, we will be firing the teachers who do racist things to our children and traumatize them. And, while our district might not be completely on there, OEA (Oregon Educators Association) is working on it, alright? NEA (National Education Association) It’s just a matter of time, You either evolve or dissolve.”
Mrs. Watkins made these remarks at the Beaverton School District’s Equity ABAR Summit. ABAR stands for “anti-bias, anti-racism.” In the slides acquired by PDE, summit organizers seek to train Beaverton teachers to “<a href="https://defendinged.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Beavertonpresentation.pdf">unearth issues of racism, decentering whiteness in the classroom, decolonizing academic curriculum, exploring intersectionalities, and disrupting deficit thinking narratives</a>.” Sessions include “Going Beneath Your Whiteness,” “Ableism 101,” “Demystifying Black Lives Matter at School,” and, “How to Support DACAmented &amp; Undocumented Students.”

<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/oregon-teachers-diversity-capitol-riots-fired">As reported by Fox News, attendance was mandatory</a> for all licensed district staff, and the summit cost $5,500 to host. <a href="https://defendinged.org/incidents/evolve-or-dissolve/">PDE reports that over 3,000 educators</a> from Beaverton participated in the meeting.
In a statement provided to Newsweek, the School District is <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/twitter-outraged-over-teacher-telling-educators-embrace-anti-racist-thinking-fired-1596012">continuing to stand by both Mrs. Watkins and the summit</a>:
“In the comments, we hear Ms. Watkins expressing her expectation that all our educators authentically engage in anti-bias, antiracist work for the benefit of our students. The Beaverton School District serves a diverse population of students. More than half of our students identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color. Our goal as educators is to make sure that every child, staff member, and community member in our district feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged. As part of that commitment, we&#8217;re engaged in ongoing and critically important equity work which includes providing professional development to our staff.”

Mrs. <a href="https://cedarpark.beaverton.k12.or.us/connect/staff-directory?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;const_search_group_ids=224&amp;const_search_role_ids=1&amp;const_search_keyword=Watkins+">Katherine Watkins</a> is a middle school Humanities teacher at Cedar Park Middle School in Beaverton, Oregon. During a district-wide summit, Mrs. Watkins threatened to fire teachers who refuse to adopt “antiracist” teaching methods.

The term “antiracist” is a phrase frequently used by Critical Race Theorists. Critical Theory, or Critical Race Theory, is an <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2012/03/11/what-is-critical-race-theory/">intellectual branch of Marxism that alleges American society and all of its founding institutions are infected with and perpetuate white supremacy</a>. Furthermore, proponents of Critical Race Theory believe that people should take proactive steps to dismantle these institutions in the name of equity, which is also referred to as being “anti-racist.” Some Critical Race Theorists, such as Nikole Hannah-Jones,<a href="https://reason.com/2020/09/23/1619-project-nikole-hannah-jones-1776-founding-race-new-york-times/"> claim</a> that America’s real founding was in 1619 when the first slave arrived in North America, rather than 1776 when the American colonies declared independence from Britain.

In a Zoom meeting captured by Parents Defending Education (PDE), Mrs. Watkins <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_PIlGgJSXI&amp;t=2s&amp;ab_channel=ParentsDefendingEducation">warned that other teachers</a> present on the call will become obsolete in their respective jobs if they do not become antiracist educators.

“I’m going to something that is not nice and not sweet, but it’s true. If you’re not evolving into an antiracist educator, you’re making yourself obsolete in this field of profession. Our district is only getting browner and browner with our children. Obviously, you can’t change your melanin, alright, but you can change your mind so that you can actually function in a district that is full of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) children.”

Mrs. Watkins suggests that teachers who do not become antiracists must be fired for causing “trauma” to their students.

“So if you’re being resistant, I understand that, but eventually you’re going to have to come to the light. Because if you’re going to come with those old views of colonialism, it's going to lead to being fired, because you’re going to be doing damage to our children—trauma.”

Mrs. Watkins even compares teachers who refuse to adopt her prescribed tactics to sexual predators.

“So, as we fire the teachers who sexually abuse our children, we will be firing the teachers who do racist things to our children and traumatize them. And, while our district might not be completely on there, OEA (Oregon Educators Association) is working on it, alright? NEA (National Education Association) It’s just a matter of time, You either evolve or dissolve.”

Mrs. Watkins made these remarks at the Beaverton School District’s Equity ABAR Summit. ABAR stands for “anti-bias, anti-racism.” In the slides acquired by PDE, summit organizers seek to train Beaverton teachers to “<a href="https://defendinged.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Beavertonpresentation.pdf">unearth issues of racism, decentering whiteness in the classroom, decolonizing academic curriculum, exploring intersectionalities, and disrupting deficit thinking narratives</a>.” Sessions include “Going Beneath Your Whiteness,” “Ableism 101,” “Demystifying Black Lives Matter at School,” and, “How to Support DACAmented &amp; Undocumented Students.”

<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/oregon-teachers-diversity-capitol-riots-fired">As reported by Fox News, attendance was mandatory</a> for all licensed district staff, and the summit cost $5,500 to host. <a href="https://defendinged.org/incidents/evolve-or-dissolve/">PDE reports that over 3,000 educators</a> from Beaverton participated in the meeting.

In a statement provided to Newsweek, the School District is <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/twitter-outraged-over-teacher-telling-educators-embrace-anti-racist-thinking-fired-1596012">continuing to stand by both Mrs. Watkins and the summit</a>:

“In the comments, we hear Ms. Watkins expressing her expectation that all our educators authentically engage in anti-bias, antiracist work for the benefit of our students. The Beaverton School District serves a diverse population of students. More than half of our students identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color. Our goal as educators is to make sure that every child, staff member, and community member in our district feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged. As part of that commitment, we're engaged in ongoing and critically important equity work which includes providing professional development to our staff.”

According to Professor Laymon’s <a href="https://www.kieselaymon.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a>, he has authored many publications, such as “<a href="https://www.vox.com/the-highlight/22419450/kiese-laymon-justice-fairness-black-america" target="_blank" rel="noopener">What we owe and are owed</a>” &#8211; on Black revision, repayment, and renewal. He wrote that the “metastasized, excused unwellness in white families, monied and poor, is responsible for anti-Black terror happening in this nation’s schools, prisons, hospitals, neighborhoods, and banks.” This, he offered, “is the work of folks who despise revision nearly as much as they despise themselves.”

She also wrote, &#8220;If the college will not stand up to the Republican club, I have decided to stand up for myself and other students.&#8221; (See image of email below).

Olga Perez Stable Cox is an instructor at Orange Coast College. She used class time to call the election of Donald Trump "an act of terrorism"  and also called him a white supremacist and also said Vice-President Mike Pence is "anti-gay."

Mrs. Crystal Duncan Lane is an instructor in the <a href="https://liberalarts.vt.edu/departments-and-schools/department-of-human-development-and-family-science.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department of Human Development and Family Science</a> at <a href="https://vt.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Virginia Tech University</a>.
In the syllabus of her Development 1134 class—<a href="https://campusreform.org/article?id=18143" target="_blank" rel="noopener">obtained by Campus Reform</a>—Mrs. Duncan Lane apologizes to her students of color for her “whiteness” and invites her white students to confront their “innate racism.”
In a section of the syllabus titled, “Who I Am,” Mrs. Duncan Lane describes herself as a, “Caucasian, cisgender female,” who is “married to a cisgender male.” She further laments the “injustice” of arbitrarily receiving various “privileges” throughout her life.
“I am a Caucasian cisgender female and first-generation college student from Appalachia who is of Scottish, British, and Norwegian descent. I am married to a cisgender male, and we are middle class. While I did not “ask” for the many privileges in my life: I have benefited from them, and will continue to benefit from them, whether I like it or not. This is injustice.” 
Mrs. Lane then vows to work on a “daily basis” to confront her own racism in order to be fully antiracist,

Mrs. Duncan Lane describes her teaching style as striving to create “<a href="https://teaching.vt.edu/grantsandawards/teaching-awards/crystal-duncan-lane.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a safe space where students can exist without shame or embarrassment</a>.” She further vows to use preferred pronouns and “living names” in the classroom, stating, “it is my intention to respect and honor chosen or living names and pronouns: If I make a mistake regarding either, I welcome correction. It is also my intention to demonstrate that I respect my students and their whole being.”

Mrs. Crystal Duncan Lane is an instructor in the <a href="https://liberalarts.vt.edu/departments-and-schools/department-of-human-development-and-family-science.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department of Human Development and Family Science</a> at <a href="https://vt.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Virginia Tech University</a>.

In the syllabus of her Development 1134 class—<a href="https://campusreform.org/article?id=18143" target="_blank" rel="noopener">obtained by Campus Reform</a>—Mrs. Duncan Lane apologizes to her students of color for her “whiteness” and invites her white students to confront their “innate racism.”

In a section of the syllabus titled, “Who I Am,” Mrs. Duncan Lane describes herself as a, “Caucasian, cisgender female,” who is “married to a cisgender male.” She further laments the “injustice” of arbitrarily receiving various “privileges” throughout her life.

“I am a Caucasian cisgender female and first-generation college student from Appalachia who is of Scottish, British, and Norwegian descent. I am married to a cisgender male, and we are middle class. While I did not “ask” for the many privileges in my life: I have benefited from them, and will continue to benefit from them, whether I like it or not. This is injustice.” 

Mrs. Lane then vows to work on a “daily basis” to confront her own racism in order to be fully antiracist,

Mrs. Duncan Lane describes her teaching style as striving to create “<a href="https://teaching.vt.edu/grantsandawards/teaching-awards/crystal-duncan-lane.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a safe space where students can exist without shame or embarrassment</a>.” She further vows to use preferred pronouns and “living names” in the classroom, stating, “it is my intention to respect and honor chosen or living names and pronouns: If I make a mistake regarding either, I welcome correction. It is also my intention to demonstrate that I respect my students and their whole being.”

Matthew Gabriele is a <a href="https://liberalarts.vt.edu/departments-and-schools/department-of-religion-and-culture/faculty/matthew-gabriele.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Professor of Medieval Studies </a>and Chair of the Department of Religion and Culture at Virginia Tech. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, including Apocalyptic Theories, Religion and Violence, and Game of Thrones: The Medieval and the Modern. He has also penned many publications for outlets such as CNN, the Washington Post, TIME, and Teen Vogue. He often writes about history and how conservatives alter historical events to make themselves sound better.

<a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2021/05/03/historical-analogies-covid-fascism-mccarthyism/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">In an article for the Washington Post</a>, Dr. Gabriele accuses conservatives of making “bad analogies” in order to combat anyone asking them to “reflect on their words or actions.” As an example, he alleges that the political-right compares mask mandates and Covid-19 vaccination cards to the yellow stars the Nazis forced the Jewish to wear during the Holocaust in order to pretend to be a “new persecuted minority.”

Dr. Gabriele does, however, support the analogy that detention facilities for illegal immigrants at the border under conservative leadership are the same as concentration camps during the holocaust.

During the Holocaust, Nazis illegally forced legal citizens of a specific religion, political affiliation, or ethnicity into <a href="https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/concentration-camps-1933-39" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concentration camps,</a> where many were ultimately executed. <a href="https://www.ice.gov/detain/detention-management" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Immigration detention facilities</a> in the United States at the southern border were installed in order to keep those entering the country illegally in one place until they speak with an immigration judge to determine if they can stay in the U.S. or if they will be sent back home.

Dr. Gabriel often takes to Twitter to voice his strong disdain for conservatives and the police. He calls conservatives “bigots” and “sh*tbags” and also compares police precincts to gangs. Some examples are below:

He claims that conservatives believe they are “under siege” and try to string together irrelevant historical events and “bullsh#t history” to give “historical legitimacy to their hate.”

Dr. Gabriele perpetuates negative stereotypes and slanderous imagery of conservatives both in his professional publications and on his personal social media. He is a professor who teaches courses on Christianity and religious love but spreads political hate online.

He regularly makes media appearances on outlets like NowThisNews–often <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44_TMreiuF8&amp;ab_channel=TheRealNewsNetwork">running cover for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt</a>.
While <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/wisconsin-professor-claims-western-economics-deadlier-than-coronavirus">appearing on the Lebanese-based Manar TV</a>, Da’na supported the Chinese government&#8217;s claim that the Coronavirus in fact originated in the United States and was deliberately released.

When contacted by various outlets, Da’na defended his comments, claiming with hubris that he had always stood against bigotry, including “Nazism and Fascism.” It should be noted that the station on which Da’na made his controversial remarks is aligned with <a href="https://www.investigativeproject.org/profile/131/hizballah">Hezbollah</a>, whose founder <a href="https://www.camera.org/article/hassan-nasrallah-in-his-own-words/">Hassan Nasrallah</a> is often quoted by the media expressing his desire to kill as many Jews as possible.

When contacted by various outlets, Da’na defended his comments, claiming with hubris that he had always stood against bigotry, including “Nazism and Fascism.” It should be noted that the station on which Da’na made his controversial remarks is aligned with <a href="https://www.investigativeproject.org/profile/131/hizballah">Hezbollah</a>, whose founder <a href="https://www.camera.org/article/hassan-nasrallah-in-his-own-words/">Hassan Nasrallah</a> is often quoted by the media expressing his desire to kill as many Jews as possible.

Professor Woodward, according to an online schedule, usually teaches Health Economics on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, he spent that time driving students to the polls in a car decorated with Democratic campaign posters - paid for by the Ready for Hillary Super PAC.

<a href="https://ceps.unh.edu/person/chanda-prescod-weinstein" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein</a> is an Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy and a Core Faculty Member of the <a href="https://cola.unh.edu/womens-gender-studies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Women’s and Gender Studies</a> Department at the <a href="https://cola.unh.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">University of New Hampshire</a>.

As a member of the organization, <a href="https://www.particlesforjustice.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Particles for Justice</a>, Dr. Prescod-Weinstein was a primary organizer for the “Strike for Black Lives” in June of 2020.

Particles for Justice is a far-left organization composed of scientists and mathematicians who are <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/physicists-condemn-sexism-through-particles-for-justice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dedicated to ending what they allege as “rampant racism and sexism in STEM fields</a>.” The group was first organized in 2018 to protest a lecture by physicist Alessandro Strumia, in which he affirmed that biological differences exist between men and women.

In the Summer of 2020, Dr. Prescod-Weinstein—who identifies as a <a href="https://magazine.scienceforthepeople.org/web-extras/particles-for-justice-racial-justice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“black queer femme physicist”</a> and an “<a href="https://www.cprescodweinstein.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">activist for equality in science</a>”—and other scientists organized the strike among academics in solidarity with the <a href="https://m4bl.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Movement for Black Lives</a> (MBL), also referred to as the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

According to a <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2020/09/16/study-up-to-95-percent-of-2020-u-s-riots-are-linked-to-black-lives-matter/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">study conducted by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED)</a>, BLM can be linked to 95% of the riots around the country–notably in Summer 2020 following the death of George Floyd. In an analysis of the study, <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2020/09/16/study-up-to-95-percent-of-2020-u-s-riots-are-linked-to-black-lives-matter/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Federalist</a> found, “of the 633 incidents coded as riots, 88 percent are recorded as involving Black Lives Matter Activists.” The resulting riots were the largest in American history, <a href="https://fee.org/articles/george-floyd-riots-caused-record-setting-2-billion-in-damage-new-report-says-here-s-why-the-true-cost-is-even-higher/#:~:text=Only%20now%20are%20we%20beginning,%241%20billion%20to%20%242%20billion." target="_blank" rel="noopener">causing an estimated $2 billion in damages and 47 deaths.</a>

According to an official letter for the group—co-authored by Dr. Prescod-Weinstein—the organizers allege black students feel unsafe on <a href="https://www.particlesforjustice.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“predominantly white campuses” and professors face “anti-blackness” in academia</a>. The organizers called for <a href="https://www.particlesforjustice.org/strike-details" target="_blank" rel="noopener">academics to cease their normal university duties and spend the day protesting or conducting “antiracist“ actions on behalf of BLM</a>. As of June 10th, 2020, the website listed 5,874 administrators and professors as having walked off their jobs during the strike.

In her own personal statement authored for the strike, Dr. Prescod-Weinstein describes her efforts organizing the strike and the ongoing national protests as <a href="https://www.particlesforjustice.org/note" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an attempt to “save her life" and “the lives of all black people.</a>” She further decries having to conform culturally and professionally to “whiteness,” and urges white people to take up anti-racist work in order to make black people feel more comfortable.

Dr. Prescod-Weinstein’s activism and views are further displayed on her <a href="https://twitter.com/IBJIYONGI" target="_blank" rel="noopener">personal Twitter account</a>. She consistently tweets condemnations of America and conservatives as racist, support for critical race theory, and accusations that Israel is committing genocide against Arabs:

In a separate paper for The University of Chicago—​​titled, “Making Black Women Scientists under White Empiricism: The Racialization of Epistemology in Physics”— Dr. Prescod-Weinstein <a href="https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.1086/704991#_i5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">decries the concept of objectivity under “European ideas of science”</a> dominating her field through “colonial force.” She defines “white empiricism” as serving “white supremacist traditions in science” at the expense of black scientists.

Dr. Finkelhor is known for his research into child sexual abuse and related topics.

Dr. Finkelhor lectures on a wide variety of subjects such as “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpangX4UaO4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sexual Abuse Prevention</a>,” “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsoYh5WF2Yc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Developmental Victimology</a>,” and more. He also participates in a variety of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-fViw7Uuxs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">child sexual abuse conferences</a>.

On March 23, 2022 Dr. Finkelhor participated in a webinar discussing the “<a href="https://twitter.com/libsoftiktok/status/1515916310814859264" target="_blank" rel="noopener">elements of voluntary participation</a>” by juveniles involved in sex crimes; saying that when trying to prevent sex crimes against children, it is key to realize that in some cases, it is the children themselves that are “initiating sexual activities with adults.” Dr. Finkelhor also suggested that he believes it is not “effective” to assume that a pedophilic relationship escalates because of a “predatory or criminally inclined adult.”

On June 25, 2020 in a webinar called “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpangX4UaO4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Let's Talk About Prevention</a>,” Finkelhor stated that “Another thing about diversity that is very important to recognize is that in spite of the stereotype, most of the adult offenders are not “pedophiles”... Many are opportunistic and situational and acting on relationships that develop, or opportunities that are made available to them.”  Dr. Finkelhor refers to “offenders” as ambivalent and stresses the importance of differentiating the labels between a pedophile and an offender.

Recently, there have been articles questioning Dr. Finkelhor's motives on the subject. <a href="https://thepostmillennial.com/professor-says-minors-can-be-enthusiastically-involved-in-initiating-sexual-activities-with-adults" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Post Millennial</a> reports his statements, “There's not good enough research on issues related to maturity with regard to sexual behavior that allows a clear demarcation here.”  He noted that there can be elements of voluntary participation in statutory sex crimes wherein juveniles engage in sex with adults who are at least five years older than they are. Statutory rape, he said, is “much narrower than statutory sex crimes in general.”

Dr. Finkelhor’s rating on Rate My Professor is a <a href="https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=142310" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2.1 out of 5</a> with a number of reviews mentioning his teaching methods as “lecture heavy” and so on.

He is also Director of the <a href="https://www.emich.edu/smart-research-project/index.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Southeastern Michigan Criminal Justice Policy Research Project (SMART)</a>.
In an article for <a href="https://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/2021/11/eastern-michigan-university-project-to-address-racial-inequities-in-policing.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MLive</a>, Karpiak described SMART as a “multidisciplinary team consisting of EMU faculty in sociology, anthropology, criminology, political science and public administration programs to address the deep-rooted issues of our current system.” SMART “seeks to train local agencies to ‘promote transformation in public safety.’”
SMART is currently <a href="https://www.emich.edu/smart-research-project/index.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">working on three projects</a>, one of which is titled “Understanding the Black Experience of Policing in East Dearborn.” This project is collecting oral history narratives of the experiences of black residents with the Dearborn Police Department. These will be used as part of a “broader truth and reconciliation project geared towards opening up a community-led conversation that will explore alternative visions for public safety in East Dearborn.”
Karpiak is also a member of the <a href="https://www.reenvisionoursafety.org/about.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Coalition to Re-Envision Our Safety (CROS)</a>, a “multiracial group” that “care[s] deeply about transformative justice and building care-based safety in our community.” The group says they “fully support a non-police/unarmed response” and claim they have written an “effective proposal” to accomplish this goal.

Karpiak is also a member of the <a href="https://www.reenvisionoursafety.org/about.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Coalition to Re-Envision Our Safety (CROS)</a>, a “multiracial group” that “care[s] deeply about transformative justice and building care-based safety in our community.” The group says they “fully support a non-police/unarmed response” and claim they have written an “effective proposal” to accomplish this goal.

According to <a href="https://www.easternecho.com/article/2024/10/emu-suspends-professor-amid-publicity-over-criminal-sexual-conduct-investigation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Eastern Echo</a>, Coatings Research Institute Director Vijay Mannari was suspended from teaching due to his appearance on a catch a predator show where he was caught and arrested for attempting to have sex with a minor. 
In an <a href="https://www.watchtrublu.com/takedown-with-chris-hansen/season:10/videos/td-huron-township-vijay-fc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">episode</a> of “Takedown with Chris Hansen,” a law enforcement agent acted as a 15-year-old girl in a series of messages with Mannari. The professor sent sexually explicit texts to the agent before he arrived at the set-up house. He was arrested after talking with Chris Hansen about his actions.  
Eastern Michigan University issued the following <a href="https://today.emich.edu/story/statement/12839" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> in light of Mannari’s suspension:
“The actions the individual is accused of are detestable and abhorrent, and stand against everything the University stands for. 
Upon learning about this matter, the individual was immediately suspended, barred from campus, denied access to University email, and prohibited from any further contact with the University or our students. 
Although the investigation remains ongoing, the University is not aware of any allegations against the individual that involve University employees or students.
The University is cooperating fully with law enforcement and will continue to monitor the situation closely. We take these matters very seriously, as the safety and well-being of our campus community is our top priority.”

Butler is currently being sued by a student for assault and battery. She allegedly attacked the student for not transporting bugs and flammable liquids. According to the student, he was trying to respect federal and state laws regarding the transportation and removal of these specific fluids and native bugs.

Harron wrote an article about how white, male professors should resign or take a demotion in order to improve diversity. Harron wrote, &#8220;If you are a white cis man (meaning you identify as male and you were assigned male at birth) you almost certainly should resign from your position of power. That’s right, please quit. Too difficult? Well, as a first step, at least get off your hiring committee, your curriculum committee, and make sure you’re replaced by a woman of color or trans person.&#8221; She also wrote, &#8220;What can universities do? Well, that’s easier. Stop hiring white cis men (except as needed to get/retain people who are not white cis men) until the problem goes away. If you think this is a bad or un-serious idea, your sexism/racism/transphobia is showing.&#8221;

UHN says that “queer dance” “can be traced back to the 1980s, [and] was born out of gay and lesbian dance clubs and ballroom culture and has been widely popularized on stage by pop artists such as Lady Gaga and Madonna.”
According to UHN, “Queer dance also features performing art forms such as impersonation, lip-synching and pantomime. The UH Mānoa course incorporates techniques and choreography created by Asian and Pacific Islander māhū (identity with male and female characteristics) here in Hawaiʻi.”
Akuna is also a drag queen who goes by the stage name of “Cocoa Chandelier” (see image below). According to his university profile, as a drag queen, Akuna “travels continuously as an advocate and spokesperson for HIV/AIDS, and is a long standing member with the United Territories of Pacific Islanders in Alliance that serves the Native Pacific Island and MVPFAFF+ community across the Hawaiian islands and the Pacific.”

The center aims to “promote an increased understanding of LGBTQ life in the South that is fact-based and can inform policies and strategies to promote the health, equity, and well-being of LGBTQ people in the region.”
The organization recently partnered with <a href="https://www.campuspride.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Campus Pride</a>, “the leading national organization for LGBTQ+ and ally college students,” to conduct a “Survey of Southern LGBTQ Experiences.” According to <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-health-and-wellness/half-lgbtq-southerners-say-parents-tried-change-repress-identity-repor-rcna45875" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NBC News</a>, Johnson said the survey showed “thousands of individuals throughout the South are not getting the social support they need.” Further, he claims the “lack of support gets compounded with clear, state-sponsored discrimination such as the passage of anti-LGBTQ laws.”

She has now been formally reprimanded multiple times for racial harassment.
